> 3 dayTLDR: Great hooks for plants, larger light setups etc. but definitely a bit big for smaller string lights. The hooks are so large in comparison to these kind of lights that it is comical looking! But these are still great for larger items that need hanging! We originally got these to hang some fairy lights from our ceiling in our living room, but honestly they are a bit to big for these lights and it makes them looks a little silly. However using globe lights or large string light sets outdoors these would be perfect. They are made nicely and seem sturdy. I love that they close shut in case we do use them for more outdoor items so we won’t need to worry about anything blowing away! Definitely worth getting if you have lots of larger things to hang but may want to hold off if you have small lights etc and get a bit smaller size!

> 3 dayI love that these hooks have latches on them! They seem to be made of quality materials and feel very sturdy. They were easy to install and now my Christmas lights will stay put! The latches are sturdy and spring loaded. I highly recommend!

> 3 dayI had never seen these before, so when I saw them on Amazon I jumped. Im not disappointed. I thought they might be cheap or something, of not be up to the task, but they work great! I use them to help with decorative lighting on my back patio. Im sure Ill come up with other uses for them, as well. They have terrific utility. Highly recommended!

Greater than one weekThese hooks are sturdy and fairly easy to install in pine and fir, but a pilot hole is helpful in harder wood. the hooks will hold small hanging plants, solar powered lanterns, and I have two hooks mounted on a bookcase by the door to hold keys. I am planning on using the rest of the hooks in the package in the garage to hold tools at the ready.

> 3 dayI had removed many of the hooks installed by previous owner when I installed some semi permanent lighting strips to the eve recesses outside our home. There were other Christmas decorations to install so I used these hooks. These hooks are priced well for their quality. They may be over sized for Christmas lights. Theyre rather blunt and larger diameter than others so I did find it best to use a drill to start a pilot hole before threading these hooks in place. But the hookclosure on these hooks is a nice solution for string looped decorations that could just blow away with the wind. No worries of losing them this year. These hooks are likely strong enough for other purposes throughout the year.

Greater than one weekPredrill starter holes for these hooks and installation will go much easier. We ended up snapping off two of them trying to get them screwed in deep enough. Says theyll hold 40 pounds. Well see. Im hanging a flowering pot on one of them.

> 3 dayHooks themselves are very nice quality. Comes with 20 hooks and drywall anchors if using that way. The spring loaded clip works like a carabiner and has a good amount of spring so it will definitely hold anything you dont want coming loose in the wind. State that they are rated for 40 lbs and they seem robust enough to match the sellers stated rating.
