Greater than one weeki got it to work occasionally, but some of the functions never worked and i could not determine how to get it to work consistently. I could not turn it on or off or select functions. The remote never worked at all and the battery removal drawer was so lame it was difficult to open. I would return this but it is so inexpensive that it is not worth it. Thus the review to help others not buy this product.

With the timer feature, you never have to touch them - they come on the same time every day and go off at the same time, so you can put them high up and forget about them.... until you need to change the batteries, which isnt as often as you would think. I went all the way though Christmas without changing the batteries once.
