totes Under Canopy Print Auto Open Close Umbrella,Floral

The item looks lovely (having a picture of a beautiful sky helps on a rainy day!). Plus, I can forgive stiffness on opening since I haven’t had it long. However, the wide (nice) Velcro closure is virtually impossible to wrap tightly enough to actually close. In addition, the description mentions the ‘nice storage bag’ but even after receiving TWO of these (Amazon generously sent me a free replacement), there is still NO STORAGE BAG. A bag is extremely useful when you have a wet umbrella and don’t want it dripping on a floor or tabletop. How can you list it and not provide? As I mentioned, Amazon sent me two separate orders when the first came without but the second one came without as well. This claims to be a totes product. Since a necessary order part is missing (twice!), I tend to believe this is a counterfeit item. Very disappointing.

Not very durable in a steady rain (but not windy). Very disappointing product considering the brand and price.

This umbrella fits in my backpack and small tote bag. The material is thick, not cheap and easy to open and close . Kept me dry on a very rainy & windy day!

I use this to walk the dog when he wants to go during a rain storm. Its big enough that it keeps me relatively dry. Good piece of equipment.

I purchased three umbrellas one was the totes went to Paris use the umbrella. Once it was defective, did not carry it back home, left it in Paris, unhappy customer.

It’s a fun design but it’s steady and heavy umbrella. Auto open is nice but auto close doesn’t work well. I got it for 10years old. It’s too heavy for him. But he loves auto open button and sunny sky design. Very hard to close.

I bought the floral design umbrella. The material is made of 100% polyester per the label. The weird looking outer layer is very slick and shiny and a medium-dark blue. It almost looks like it’s been covered in some type of chemical…think one of those big shiny heavy duty lawn trash bags. It does have a chemical odor to it that I’m hoping will go away if I leave it outside overnight. The under layer looks like every other umbrella fabric with a pretty floral design. The one button open and close worked fine. The wide band to hold the umbrella closed barely reaches the Velcro. I had to pull it really hard to make it fit. It does stand upside down to drain water off, so that’s nice. It might rain tomorrow. I will update my review after actually using it in the rain. I did check for any holes and didn’t see any. It’s not exactly what I was expecting but if it works as it should then I will probably keep it.

This umbrella has already broken. It will not completely shut and the button will not work. I only used it a very few times -- maybe less than six. I wonder if this was really a Totes brand umbrella, as that brand should have a lifetime warranty and should not break so easily! It is too late to return my purchase, as I have been traveling and just got home. The return window is past.
