> 3 dayIt works, but just okay. Im a computer engineer and USB drives are like screwdrivers are to auto mechanics. I was looking for fast USB 3.0 16-32GB drive with activity LEDs and no caps (caps get lost so easy) I thought the Transcend JetFlash 790 would be my go to drive. I ordered two drives(Black 32GB) and once they arrived I started testing them. Some major disappoints popped up immediately #1 There is no activity LED, as stated in the description, on either drive. #2 Im getting very inconsistent read/write results between the two drives on CrystalDiskMark. At first I thought this was just an anomaly, but after running the test multiple times on multiple machines, the results were consistent and followed the drives. So the short answer here is that these drives will work, but your mileage may very. Quality control could be better. For not having an activity LED and for the wildly inconsistent read/write results I can only give these drives 3 stars. hope this helps.

> 3 dayWhen I initially got this drive to test it I was skeptical about its quality. Not only is build quality great, but so is the drive. Its about average for USB 3 drives speed wise and it has a good Silicon Motion controller in it. Not the PHISON crap some other cheap manufactures use. Would recommend, especially for the price.

> 3 daySlider is too loose. It moves in and out on its own when in pocket.

> 3 dayI have been using these for years because I have yet to have one fail on me. Unfortunately, Transcend has take off the activity LED that used to be on these drives. I will be trying some other brands since these are not so special anymore.

> 3 dayGreat drive with speed of about 10 MB/s on a 2.0 port. This drive does not run hot. Great price too.. Right now the 32GB black costs about $13 and the white is about $10. Also bought a white one, and its 2.0 write speed is also very good. Large files transfer at about 10MB/s. Batches of smaller files naturally get written at about 8MB/s. Light behind the blue slide is very visible, and is always on. With the white case, blue glow fills the bottom of the drive. I bought another black drive. It is different: doesnt say USB 3.1 on the case and there is no light. Performance is the same I guess. I have many drives, so I like to buy different designs from many highly rated manufacturers so all my drives look different. Drives from this brand have never failed me. -Chris

> 3 dayI purchased this flash drive because I needed something to store my work and projects on for college. I tested the flash drive to make sure I was paying for a counterfeit, since it cost me less than 20 bucks for a lot of memory. The flash drive is authentic, providing over 30GB of storage. The drive has an average write speed of 10.5MB/s and a read speed of 31.9MB/s, which makes it nice and fast. The blue light on the drive lets me know that its connected to my computer, and flashes as I add or remove files to and from the device. Tis is great because it lets me know if it has finished transferring my data. Overall, this flash drive is a great deal given the price and memory. It reads/writes data at a fast pace for me and I wont have to get a new one for quite some time thanks to the space on it.

> 3 dayThe sustained read speeds of ~90MB/sec are not shabby at all but the sustained write speed of 70MB/sec really blew me away.

> 3 dayI bought both colors. Description on white model is wrong its actually USB 3.1 not 3.0, and so are the black ones as listed usb 3.1. Also it says there is a LED activity indicator but neither one has that either. Warranty says 5 years on packaging so I dont know why people are talking about lifetime warranties. Ive been having trouble with slightly less expensive ADATA drives failing and Ive had better luck with Transcend in the past but have not ever used these cheap plastic ones before just metal so we will see how that goes.

> 3 dayI have 5 of these flash drives in different capacities and Ive been using them for a couple of years. They are very reliable and I havent had problems despite I usually do not eject flash drives properly. Im comfortable to keep all of my data from university in this flash drive(its always a good idea to keep backup though) and carry it around as I am confident it will not lose my data.
