I was constrained by the fact that my laptop is 17 inches. Overall I found that this was larger than I wanted. While I returned it, I can see how it would be a very good travel backpack. They would keep all your belongings down to one personal/carry-on item. But if put under the seat in front of you, I imagine it would not leave any room for your feet

This was perfect size for personal items on spirit and didnt cut my space short. I wouldnt overstuff it though or you may have issues. Many convenient compartments, easy to carry handles and straps, and most of all it is really good quality! I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this bag really is. I wanted something I could keep using on vacations and not break the bank and this is it. I have no complaints whatsoever -this is perfect for traveling cheap airlines and maximizing that space. Ive only taken taken this bag on two quick trips so far but it was held up, it is very spacious and so far I havent had any issues with airlines saying it is too big to be considered a personal item and not a carryon which was one of my biggest worries. I really like the multiple compartments and the side pocket.

I bought this to use as my personal item for domestic flights, but its actually a little too big for that purpose. However, it is about the size of a standard, rolling carry-on, and can be used as such! The only slight negative about this backpack is the packing cubes. They are not the best quality, but they still do what they are supposed to do. I love that the backpack opens like a suitcase.

I wasnt sure I would like it but I use it all the time. Its very sturdy and keeps the rectangle shape even if not full. The zippers and seams are all strong and there is plenty of room. I especially love the large wet compartment. I throw my swimming clothes and towel in there all the time.

This can be your carry on for budget airlines like frontier and spirit. I’ve gotten asked one time to put my bag in the metal box provided before boarding to measure it. Frontier’s Chicago Midway team are ALWAYS sticklers so I made sure to not fill it up and it fit perfectly. Two pockets on the sides, 2 pockets in the front- one shallow/ 1 deep. Padded laptop pocket in the back with a place for the cable. Side structure is flimsy but it doesn’t matter. The stiff back pad keeps it straight on your back. There’s a mesh net inside and straps to tie everything down. Zippers run nicely. The straps on the side are to pack it in which is great! I replaced all my bags with this one. It holds EVERYTHING. Farthest I’ve been able to use this was a week and a half. One of my girlfriends does promo modeling and was able to live out of her bag for 2 weeks. She put a bag of rice in it! I was super hesitant to buy this but I can assure you it’s worth it.

It has a lot of space to store many things (its rather a problem to store so much because it gets heavy). It has many compartments to store things in an orderly way and to keep different components that could escape from their containers in a place that does not stain clothes or your electronics. I wish it had a hook in the front to make it more comfortable.
