While not tested on a real trip, I have inspected the product and it looks sturdy enough and was described accurately. Weight in carryon is key as well as dimensions. It appears that in its collapsed mode you can place it under the seat in front of you. The true test is packing it for a 2 week trip and wearing it loaded. The color is limited to this blue color which is unfortunate. But it will stick out in a crowd.

This is a very sturdy, very well designed backpack and will be great for my next trip. This bag opens at the top like a suitcase, and has a deep main area with straps if you need to secure, and several pockets on the left side/top that include a pocket for things that may potentially leak. I always tend to overpack my backpack, and then cant find anything because Ive shoved it all to the bottom, then I have to take it all out just to find one thing. With this backpack, you can open it up and see all that is in there, which will definitely save tons of time. There is a padded pocket in the back where you can stow the shoulder straps if you are not using them, and prefer to use the top or side carrying handles of this bag. There are several storage pockets all around this bag for several different uses. There are pockets in the front where you can keep things you need to be easily accessible, the ones on the inside for wet things and other small items, a large back pocket that extends the entire length of the bag, and then several other small padded storage areas at the bottom. The bag also extends if you need more room to pack, but may not qualify as an under seat carry-on if it is extended. Some were saying to pack it with the extender opened, and then once you are fully packed, close the extender as compression for your items. I will definitely try that next trip as I always overpack, and have been watching more YouTube videos on packing tips. This is a very nice backpack that can be used for everyday, travel, school - you name it. Its a unique design that will definitely help me to be more organized when I travel. Great value for the money.

I travel with my spouse and his job quite a bit, as well as our vacations and weekend trips. Having a good backpack is essential because I often pack just a backpack rather than a large suitcase. This pack is perfect! We took a trip to the UK a few weeks ago and I had purchased a Swiss Tech bag for the trip, I wish I had seen this bag first. During the two weeks we were gone, my new Swiss Tech bag started to rip at the seams. This bag is not designed in a way that seems it would rip easily at the stitching. Its sturdy, thick, and heavy duty but not so much so that it is bulky or difficult to carry. It carries like a backpack or like a suitcase and the handles feel strong enough to hold a lot of weight. It packs like a backpack or a suitcase. The largest compartment is expandable so I can actually pack my spouse and I both for an overnight trip. There are pockets suitable for wet items, toiletries, as well as whatever else you need. There are smaller inner pockets in the larger compartments and more easily accessible outside pockets as well. I had no problem getting everything I needed for a couple of days in this bag. This is legitimately my new favorite travel bag. If I had to complain about anything, I would have preferred a slightly darker purple color. Other than that, this bag has already replaced my two other travel backpacks.

I ordered it for my recent trip to use it as a carry on bag. - This bag has many compartments which I appreciate. - Because it opens like a suitcase it is so easy to pack and unpack. - The color is so pretty without being too loud. I was worried it was going to be too purple but its not. - The material looks great. I used it both as carry on and checked baggage during my recent 16 hour international flight and it held up very well. When I used it as a checked bag on my return flight it got really dirty due to handling at the airport but I was pleased by how convenient it is to wash this bag. It washes well and Im happy it is good to go for the next trip. - It is quite spacious and you can pack a lot of stuffs. - It has two sturdy handles, one on the top and the other on the side. I like that it has a handle on the side because Im just 5ft and its more convenient for me to carry this bag from the side handle when Im not carrying it as a backpack. Also I really like that the shoulder straps can be hidden when youre not using it. It makes the bag look very neat without all the extra straps dangling and hanging loose. - It is pretty lightweight which makes it ideal for a carry on bag. - The zippers are good quality and they zip and unzip without any issues. - Overall this is a great bag both quality and look wise. I only wish it had wheels and a handle to pull it for more versatility.

Exactly what I was looking for in a carry on piece.

This backpack is a great size with lots of compartments for everything. But it should fit fine beneath an airplane seat. I also like the purple/blueish color. The back padding for the shoulders and hips help with a heavier load. I look forward to traveling with this item.
