> 3 dayI’ve always been a big fan of Travelpro and wanted to try their hardside luggage. While these are hardsided, they aren’t as hard as I expected – there is a lot of give when the sides, front & back are pushed on. I feel like they will need to be fully packed to survive airline baggage handling. I am a little concerned that if they were on the bottom of a pile of luggage, the zipper might split when the side is compressed. I’ve taken them on a road trip, and they worked well. A bit easily scuffed, but I was able to get the scuff marks off. They rolled well and went over bumps easily enough. They have TSA locks built in that the zipper pulls lock into, which is a nice feature. They are quite lightweight, which may account for the thinner outside and why it isn’t firm. I love these for road trips, but I don’t feel the overall quality is there of my other travelpro suitcases.

> 3 dayAs something to carry cloths and luggage in, both of these are nice. They hold a lot, and strap down the load, and the large bag can expand. The small one nests into the large one when not in use... but the price doesnt match the quality. The zipper locks are garbage. The internal gearing slips on them way too easily, so even after youve set your new code (or even leave it at 000), it can adjust the unlock code without your knowledge, and youll either have to brute-force the new code, or break the lock to get it open. Horrible quality on what should have been a nice feature. The zippers themselves are pretty low quality, as others have mentioned, but they have not broken on me yet. The siding is way too flimsy. Its only semi-hard... and wont hold up to rough usage. A hard siding really needs to protect the contents, but in this case, if the luggage is not stuffed and supporting the sides, they sides will dent/buckle inwards. Theyre convenient to use, until they get roughed up a little bit... then their lesser quality starts showing.

Greater than one weekIm going on a trip overseas in a couple of months and I liked the look of this. However, I think saying the smaller one is a carry-on is a bit of a stretch and a risk. Most domestic airlines, and some international, say carry-on is up to 22 inches, not the 23 that this is... so you are depending on the airlines good graces to let you slip by with this. Im a little afraid that could be misleading and cause people to have to check bags. I got this moreso for the larger suitcase as I wanted something I could put a padded ukulele case inside of, and that locked. It fits, and it has plenty of room that even if this gets banged around nothing should bang against my concert sized ukulele in its soft case within this. I havent figured out how to change the lock combination yet... I thought it would be simple like pressing the button when its unlocked or something... Ill have to look into that. I like that its not completely rigid... it has quite a bit of give, which hopefully will actually help it from not getting dented, and it allows it to hold things just outside its sizing (similar to a soft case). The little one is designed exactly like the bigger one, just different sizes. The wheels take up some of the measurement, but wheel easily. The expanded look is a little strange and makes it very flexible, and theres no way to secure it so that someone couldnt expand it... as in that zipper doesnt lock. If someone stole it it would be easy for them to cut the opened fabric with even just scissors... so the lock is there more to deter than prevent someone getting into it. Looks cool and should work well enough for my trip. But as mentioned above, it might not work for what someone wants either in size, firmness, or being super secure. Cute though.

> 3 dayPros+ +These first and foremost will definitely stand out and stylistically look great +The 360 maneuverability is a must-have nowadays but still always a positive worth mentioning +The color and style make this a very distinctive item to come out of baggage claim Cons- -Will comment on the durability after more repeated uses. Other commenters have mentioned concerns with it but I dont think this item has been out long enough for people to truly have a good handle on how durable this set is

> 3 dayThese are attractive and capacious. In fact the big one can hold almost more than I can lift. Both are divided into two equal sized halves, which is better than almost all capacity on one side. It is easier to get to what you packed on the bottom. There are double-wheeled rollers at each corner. You can roll them either straight up or on a slant. There is a handle on top and another at the side, making it easier to maneuver into cargo space. Heavy duty zippers close the suitcase. There is another zipper on the large one that allows it to expand to hold more. Well-designed and quite functional. And they are attractive too.

> 3 dayThis luggage set is awesome. Its made of very high quality. As someone who flies very often, I needed a luggage set that would be able to withstand all the tear and wear and this set fills all those boxes. Both checked in and carry on luggage are very lightweight and maneuver very easily. The suitcase are very solid and could withstand all the tossing around once on the airplane. I have traveled with this set on 3 trips so far and there isnt any marks on them. This set also has a very unique design that makes them very easy to spot once they are at the baggage claims. All in All, I recommend this luggage set for all travelers.

> 3 dayThis is a great two piece luggage set. Beautiful egg shell ivory color. The 8 spinner wheels works great for balance and maneuverability - glides easily and smoothly over both hard and carpeted flooring. Very lightweight. Solid shell is thin and supple, yet rugged. Using my body weight, purposefully added pressure to force the edges and sides to dip in, and the shell held up well and just bounced right back, good as new. The zipper is set in the middle so when opened is split in half. One side has a mesh panel with a pocket that zips up to hold your items in place. The other side is has your standard straps to hold your things in place. Zipped expansion panel is set in the middle as well. Tested the fabric of the zippered expansion section with some water. The water pooled right away and was super easy to wipe off. Allowed more of the water to just sit on the fabric for about 10 minutes. After a few minutes some of the water did start to seep in to the outer fabric, but it never made it through the 2nd inner lining - so the inside still stayed nice and dry. Probably with prolonged exposure to rain/moisture its possible it would seep through the inner layer, but for your normal, average experiences, Id feel very confident about the waterproofing even along the zippered section. Both the carry and the pull-out handles have a nice comfortable grip, and lays nice and flat. The larger bag also has a grab handle on the side as well. The features on this are really nice, great quality. Think these will hold up really well and looking forward to taking these on my future travels.

> 3 dayIm a frequent flier, both domestically and internationally, and Ive gone through my share of luggage over the years. I now will buy only three brands: Delsey, Samsonite, and TravelPro. Even though all suitcases eventually give out, these three brands last the longest. For that alone, this TravelPro 2-piece is worth the purchase. Of course, if you are considering buying this, theres more to consider. The carry-on size is not quite as deep as my favorite Delsey, but it matches its height, so yes, it WILL fit in the overhead bin. It might be too large for some European airlines, but most will accept this size. Too many carry-ons in just arent big enough. The medium suitcase sizing, however, really surprised me since its much deeper than any other of my suitcases of similar height (24 without the wheels.) The suitcase is 12.5 deep without the extender -- you get an extra 2 of depth when you unzip the extra space, making it perfect if you pack with the zipper closed and then buy stuff at your destination. The carry-on also expands, but I dont find that quite as useful. These TravelPro suitcases have eight wheels each for greater maneuverability. If you want to buy good luggage, dont settle for anything less. While you may not feel the difference on a smooth airport floor, you will in hotel hallways and on sidewalks. You want to be able to move it without tipping the suitcase and pulling harder on it. Even if you do tip it (my husband cant help himself), the handle is sturdy enough to withstand the extra force. The plastic exterior material makes the suitcases lightweight. The sides give without breaking, although due to the expanse of it, the larger suitcase gives more than the carry-on. I do prefer the slightly more rigid material of my Delsey luggage, but because Ive traveled with TravelPro before, I know it will still hold up. I deducted a half-star for the thinner plastic. That said, when you pack the suitcases full or nearly full, they dont give nearly as much as they do when empty. The TSA locks are easy to set, although weirdly TravelPro does not include instructions, just directions on how to open it initially. To set, turn the combination to 0-0-0; press the release button to remove the zipper ends; press in the reset button on the side of the lock box with a pen until it clicks; set to your desired combination; press in the release button again. To lock, insert both zipper ends and twirl the combination to a different number. The key hole is not for your use; it accepts the universal TSA key so that they can search your suitcase if necessary. Like most clam-shell suitcases, these suitcases have a zipper side and a strap-contained side. Since I use packing cubes, I tend to strap them in and use the other side for smaller and looser items such as cosmetics and shoes. If you dont pack them fully, baggage handling can push one side into the other at the zipper. All you need to do is pull it to separate. (This is true of all hard-sided luggage.) I really love that the teal/blue color gives the suitcases a distinctive look without being too flashy. My husband will use these suitcases as readily as I will. Its easy to pick out the color in a sea of black and gray at baggage claim. I added a bright luggage tag to further help me pick it out. Originally, I came to TravelPro because it seemed to be the preferred brand among flight attendants, but now Im a fan after several years of using it myself. Although I still prefer my Delsey suitcases, I find this TravelPro set to be as good as Samsonite, with the sizing making this luggage more desirable than either. You cannot go wrong with this set. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

> 3 dayJust used this luggage on a Vegas trip and rolled it all around The Venetian and it maneuvered really well. It’s beautiful luggage too. I loved that it’s a little shorter than my other luggage and can be a little smaller if you don’t expand it, but it’s still bigger than a carry on. The only thing I wish was different was the strap inside doesn’t tighten and I didn’t have enough things in my luggage to really fill it up so when I shut the one side of the luggage, everything started to fall. Otherwise, this is my new go to luggage.

> 3 dayI like that these move well, and the storage is good, but the quality was much lower than other cheaper options I’ve used. I’m a business traveller so durability and quality is important. Customer service was not what I hoped for either. They put me through the ringer on questions and ultimately replaced the defective suitcase. They told me I would need to return the whole original set when I received the replacement (single suitcase replacement was not an option). I received the replacements, boxed up the 2 originals and realized they didn’t give me an address or return label. I reached out and they said you can keep the originals too. I guess that’s a win for most, but it was frustrating to me. Why the mixed messages? I go through a lot of luggage, and so them saying keep it was the same as saying it’s your problem now. Needless to say, it’s usable, but the durability is concerning. P.S. the full expansion is nice but man is it difficult to maneuver once in full expansion.
