SubjectiveObjective
> 3 dayThis umbrella covers a significantly larger area when open than other mini-umbrellas I’ve had. It feels well-made and in addition to opening automatically it partially closes with a second push of the button. The print is visible while under the canopy but from the outside it looks nearly solid black if it’s not backlit. It is thicker when closed than some mini umbrellas, but I find that’s a small price to pay given that other ones I’ve had that were this compact when closed barely protected one person from the rain in a light breeze when open. This one covers one person well and might just cover a second if they didn’t mind squeezing in close. Stowing the umbrella in its cover requires wrapping it up rather tightly, but it only took a couple of tries to get quick at it. As we head into another rainy season, this will definitely become my everyday carry umbrella.

> 3 dayThis is a really nice, high-quality umbrella. The outside appears all black but has vivid prints on the inside for the user. The good • The umbrella is light weighing in at about 18 oz and a length on 11.5 inches when closed which is nice and compact for carrying. • The construction of the umbrella appears to be built well the frame looks heavy duty and the umbrella material appears to be double layered / coated with Teflon. • They claim it will withstand winds up to 45 mph but this I have not yet tested. Most wind resistnt umbrellas I have seen have 2 pieces of material overlapped to allow wind to pass through but this is 1 solid piece. I am looking forward to seeing how this measures up to the windy conditions of NYC. • Rain proof it is and it offers nice coverage with a 38-inch inside diameter and 42 inches when measured over the top. The umbrella fully extended is 21.5 inches tall and comes with an umbrella sleeve. • Lastly, they offer a lifetime guarantee without conditions if a failure occurs. This tells me they have a good deal of confidence this will last. The not so good • The umbrella is wider than most other compact umbrellas having a circumference of 8.25 inches which is about as thick around as a standard soda can.

> 3 dayI am very impressed with this umbrella. It very sturdy. It is a nice weight, not light, but very easy to handle. The material is very durable with a great thickness. It’s easy to use and the movements are very precise. I love flowers, and to look at the top while using just makes me feel good. The color is beautiful and not dull, very lively. I love it! It truly is a lifer.

> 3 dayThe ribs in the umbrella are doubled up and the up and down mechanism works well. I haven’t been able to test the umbrella’s sturdiness in high winds yet. That reinforced structure should help resist the tendency most umbrellas have to turn inside out in strong wind. The inside fabric imitates the night sky for a distinctive look. Once you open this umbrella you will be able to distinguish it from other plain black umbrellas.

> 3 dayIm really impressed with the Trenovo Ultra Windproof Travel Umbrella. This is not one of those cheap umbrellas the vendors on the streets of NYC sell. This is a sold umbrella that can handle a bit of rain and wind. I love the style, works for men and women. Its not big but covers a good amount of space so your legs arent soaked when you get home. I definitely recommend this umbrella.

> 3 dayI got this for my 10 year old son so he doesnt have to walk to the bus stop in the rain or borrow his sisters umbrella. Needless to say he much love it because he kept asking me when the next rainy day would be so he could use it. He can easily open and close it by himself and it fits in his backpack. Havent used it on an extremely windy day yet since there hasnt really been one that would warrant the umbrella, but so far its holding up well to heavy rain and moderate wind.

> 3 dayWeve all had umbrellas that break because of wind. Well, this Trenovo umbrella is made much stronger. You can see the extra reinforcements in the ribs. I havent tested it in 45mph wind as the description indicates its able to withstand. I think, at that kind of wind speed, I wouldnt be able to hold on to the umbrella any more, even with the rubber grip. It has an easy open and close button. Push the button, it opens up. Push the button again, it closes. Then just push it back in to lock in place for storage. It comes with a pouch, but I found it a little hard to put the umbrella back in after openings. Its pretty tight. But, the umbrella itself has a velcro strap to keep it from flaring out. It opens up to 42 inches, which is not on the big side. Its good for 1 person, or 2 smaller people. Its not big enough to cover 2 bigger people.

> 3 dayThis is a very compact and lightweight travel umbrella. Its way too small to share, but perfect to thrown in a backpack or purse for your own use if the skies look threatening. It expands and closes smoothly and easily. My only knock is that it it NOT vented, so Id be very cautious about using it in windy conditions. With that small caveat, Im pleased with this umbrella!

Greater than one weekThis handy little umbrella appears quite ordinary when closed and housed in its included carrying case. But when opened up, the inside is its own work of art, a big, colorful floral design that adds a bit of sunshine on a cloudy day. Easily pops out and closes, easy to get back into the case and a nice, durable construction.
