Ethernet cables have a minimum bend radius, which get larger based on the type of cable, Cat 5, 5e, or 6. Our dresser such out several inches from the wall to keep the cable from getting kinked. With this plug, we can push the dresser almost against the wall with no bandwidth issue.

the right-angle came in handy for a flush mount Ethernet jack in an open area where a straight cable would stick out in the way.

Sometimes you need to fit a PC into a tight spot, or put a switch or router where you just dont have enough room to run cables out the normal way. These cables which are designed to plug into the RJ-45 jack with the cable itself leaving at 90 degrees along the cabinet are perfect for those odd places.

The Tripp Lite cables have always been great, but had no idea you could get a right angle end. This worked perfectly for my laptop which I use frequently at my office. Would highly recommend Tripp Lite for anyone needing inexpensive but quality Cat5 cabling.

I used a regular Ethernet cable plugged into an outlet, and it was rather ugly as the cable made a large loop from the outlet before it lay flat against the wall. What I needed was an Ethernet cable with a 90-degree plug, with the cable coming out to the right side of the outlet. This cable was perfect for my situation. I connected it to Apple Time Capsule, and I got a full 1000 Mbps connection right away.

Great cable, sturdy and fast. I only wish I could one of these longer and with a snagless connector.
