Stops Thieves Of Opportunity Barely. I can open these easily with a screwdriver. The only people I worry about are baggage handlers. My sisters flight a few years ago had a baggage handler stuck in the cargo area and they had to open a trap door in the plane so he could exit. My point is that there are opportunities to get in your baggage. I carry over $25,000 of camera equipment and I carry a $500 deductable which will handle the loss. You can rest assured that if these locks are off my case at the baggage carousel it will be investigated. For this reason alone I gave this product 4 stars. If I miss a shoot because someone got in my case..... I have insurance for that too. It wont stop anyone... probably.
