Greater than one weekHält was es verspricht. Wenn man sich mit der etwas anderen Art der Konfiguration zurecht gefunden hat, möchte man das Gerät nicht mehr missen!

Greater than one weekSo theres a couple of things Id like to counter in various reviews here. 1) This AP isnt meant for your average home user, it might not give you amazing WiFi speeds, but what itll do, is give you a fair speed to every device you can think of connecting. 2) this ap and controller software to get it running properly require a bit of a learning curve - its setup for maximum compatibility out of the box. It would be recommended to use the vht80 setting on the 5ghz radio, this will give you nearly double the throughput of the initial setting. 3) sometimes the power to the radios is too high - it may be worth taking it off auto and setting to medium. See how you get on with it and put it back up if its not solved the issue. It sounds counter intuitive, but it can gain positive results. So far, after a week or two of tweaking Im getting 600/600mbps on a laptop in the same room on 5ghz, that, drops to 300/300 in the next room (thick brick and concrete) Also - I now can get my 2ghz down to my local shop (70 meters away) - its slow, but perfect for audio streaming. To sum up, its a great Access Point if setup correctly, but think about your network setup - you may be better off with the smaller nanoHD in your average flat/2 bedroom house. Its just a smaller, cheaper version of this.

Greater than one weekAn amazing Wi-Fi access point, used to use multiple access points around my house to get signal in the bedroom and living room but a single one of these offers high performance Wi-Fi in all rooms including my other rooms in my house which previously were black spots. Got this hooked up to a Cisco RV345 for routing and switching, the Wi-Fi speeds even between walls hits the caps of my internet for speedtest (250mbps) - will probably replace the RV345 soon with a Ubiquiti security gateway and a switch as the UniFi access point has won me over. As others have said it really shows up consumer access point products and isnt for the average consumer - you need a UniFi controller running on a computer on your network for management. The access point cant be used without it, so if you want something that will plug n play this isnt your product, if you want a stable and powerful Wi-Fi network and dont mind getting techie this is for you! Will be getting a second one of these to bring Wi-Fi to my balcony - sadly it wont quite reach due to the solid walls in the building.

> 3 dayUtterly amazing product for home use, but be warned, its not for the feint hearted. This is an enterprise grade access point, and as such has corporate level GUI interface and set up. Unless you know your stuff in IT, and i mean really know it, this probably isnt for you. If you know someone who can set it up then definitely go for it. Remember, this is simply an access point, so still needs a router and modem to operate. I have a virgin super hub AC in modem mode, plugged into an Apple Airport Extreme for IP routing, with airport WiFi disabled. I did try the Unifi router but it wasnt up to the job unfortunately. That means I dont get all the features exposed in the AP (monitoring etc) but i can live with that. If positioned properly, this AP will handle all your home WiFi needs. I have more than 200 connected devices going through this beast, and can get up to 200Mb throughput on AC devices anywhere in my 4 bed detached home.

> 3 dayI am a huge fan of Ubiquitis Unifi line of networking products and have the Unifi Security Gateway, the Cloud Key Controller, and 4x Access Points (2xLite and 2X Pro), so having read various reviews and posts on the UBNT forums, I thought Hmmmm I need this, so ordered it. The box was plain cardboard, not the glossy cardboard (apple style) that other Unifi Products have been and when I opened it I discovered the POE Injector has a Cloverleaf plug lead and a.... EUROPEAN 2 Prong plug, NOT a UK plug! (Inexcusable!) Anyway, I had a spare lead so replaced one of the my UAP Pros with this and looked into my Cloud Key Controller and adopted the device (Unifi Users are nodding their heads right now!), then got a STUN failure message, so I upgraded the firmware and it went away (Phew!), BUT I am a beta tester and tried to do a Custom install of the Beta as I have on my other devices.... Nope. its not having that! All other devices are on v3.9.14.7960 but this seems intent on remaining with 3.7.35.6029 ?? So I decided to test it, and discovered although technically it should blow the AC Lite and AC Pro Away, it simply doesnt. So far I have to admit I am underwhelmed.... :( I wil update this review over the next few moths or so. *****UPDATE 22/12/17 ***** Ok so I thought it only fair to update my review, it turns out with later firmware this Access Point becomes a beast, literally blowing the 2x Lites and 2xPro that I have out the water, the 3x CPUs give it some real horsepower and it never breaks into a sweat. Some people will try to tell you that the HD in the titles means it has less throughput than the Pros etc, simply not true, testing with a 2016 12 MacBook gives connection speeds of 1300Mbps and transfer speeds in the region of 650-800Mbps this is with 7 devices connected to it. I am tempted to replace the three UAPS on the ground floor with one of these as the range is also superb. For the fun of it (and because I can), I tried Link Aggregation from a Unifi Switch to the HD and it worked! Downsides? Its quite a bit bigger than the Pro and immensely bigger than the Lites, so can dominate a ceiling. If you are fed up with your current Wifi setup, or feel you need more speed, I would definitely recommend Unifi and definitely recommend this Access Point. Update 26/1/18 If anything with each Unifi Firmware update this gets better and better, for now i am trying to resist replacing at least one of the other UAPs with one of these, but thats only due to the cost involved. The whole Unifi System continues to impress me and give trouble free, fast and secure networking (I am up to 10 Unifi devices now!), if I was just starting to invest in the Unifi ecosystem, this would be the Wifi Access point I will pick, as it is more powerful and more future proof than the others.
