> 3 dayI was not impressed with the quality of this tape. It almost seems like its a fake of the brands tape. Because this is some of the most thin, easily torn tape Ive ever used. Definitely not the quality I was looking for to replace the empty roll on my tape dispenser. Would NOT buy again. Have to use more than twice the amount to secure the box. ::rolling my eyes::

> 3 dayUsually I would buy these from you line directly. However I really didnt need 36 rolls I got a good price. So it was nice to be able to buy a few through Amazon for a good price.

Greater than one weekNeeded a few rolls of S-423 for an upcoming move, but not the 18 minimum qty from Uline. Was a little hesitant to buy from a reseller, due to reviews from others having gotten old stock, but these rolls look and perform like new. A lot of people complain that its thin (2mil vs 3+mil with other tapes) but the thicker a tape is, the less conformable it is to a surface, and the more difficult it is to get full adhesion on anything but perfectly flat, fully supported items. When it comes to packing and taping boxes, this stuff is miles ahead of Scotch Heavy Duty shipping tape, which had been my go-to until I came across some S-423 at work. It does have a strong, vinegar like smell as it comes off the roll, but it goes away almost instantly. I honestly dont mind it, but I can see it being off-putting for a lot of people.

> 3 dayUPDATE: Meant to add the update sooner but I was in the process of moving and I didnt get around to it. I ended up using this to seal the tops of moving boxes. (Id have to verify in my history if I returned this and reordered or if I missed the return window - sorry, if youre familiar with moving, then you get it). It did a great job as moving box top tape. I stand by my previous review that I wouldnt use it for the bottoms of moving boxes...except for maybe a small box of pillows...Anyway the tape held up well even with all the added moving issues the boxes were subjected to. I rented a truck trailer and loaded it up and then it was picked up to get to my destination (long distance move). It started out in nice weather and then muggy and humidity and last but not least, winter with a blizzard and Temps below 20° F - oh and it was in storage for 1 month. No temp controlled environment. So aside from the jacked loaders (unprofessional professionals), the tape held up. Of course there were some boxes with tape issues, but honestly I think that was due to the loaders stacking heavy boxes on top of light boxes (which i had laid out for them easy peasy - black duct tape for HEAVY and they were staged together. Took the guess work out of the equation (I also used red duct tape for FRAGILE)). I should write another review because I did repurchase this tape for the same reason but the stick was not there. Yes, Im moving again - ugh! The most recent purchase is horrible - worse than this. At least I was able to seal box tops. The newest purchase didnt want to stick and Ive had to tape stuff over again. I really should review my purchases...the reviews really are helpful. So again, my newest purchase, is terrible and Ill have to post that review to that specific purchase. 1st, the rolls are rippled, which screams old tape, but I purchased this brand because Uline is supposed to be quality. I was hesitant to even try it because of the rippled/warped condition, but I didnt want to judge a book by its cover. 2nd, it shreds like nobodys business! I mean I have a bonafide Uline taping gun and it would just tear and shred because its so thin. You dont need any cutting tools, just use your hands...its THAT thin. 3rd, NOT for moving boxes!!! Maybe good tape to use instead of scotch tape for taping down packing paper/bubble wrap. Adhesive seems to be good BUT good adhesion doesnt do me any good when the tape tears too easily. Returning it. I CANNOT use tape for moving boxes that tears with barely any pressure from my fingers. I CANNOT trust the boxes wont break open because I doubt the strength of the tape. I CANNOT use more tape to compensate for the thinness, thats too time consuming on an already time consuming project.
