I use rechargeable batteries in it to save money. Use it to talk to loaders at the wood mills. Since its portable I can carry when outside the rig to still talk to them. Works great for my needs.

I bought this to tell us when our weather is sketchy in our area and it is fabulous so that probably does much more, but couldn’t tell you

Works extremely well but only with an auxiliary roof or trunk mounted antenna

Initially i was buying a different unit but i got screwed by amazon on the delivery, i picked these only because they were in stock. I got them this morning, installed batteries and antenna and my wife and i were talking without any issues me being several hundred yards away on our property and her in the house. I was able to call my buddy on his base unit 2 miles (straight line) away and again clear as day. Im impressed because there is no line of sight as we live literally in the woods, and have a metal roof so for a handheld at a decent price these are very good units.

This is a great cb easy to use you will need a bigger antenna recommend tactical 28-in dont go over 28 itll put too much stress on the connection point for the antenna

We used it on a long road trip, worked great

Has limited range with the supplied antennae.

Does not have good range
