We have three shade curtains on the patio and due to freezing temperatures, high winds or whatever, one side or the other will need to be replaced every other year or so. I find i can remove the connector and leave the bracket attached to the patio. Then i just replace the broken ratchet part connecting it to the bracket by screws and reinstall the curtain.

Second purchase But a second pair so I can make a difference on the height whether I want it shorter or longer these are great

Gear inside finally broke a tooth and locked it up on my old one. Wasnt sure how many different kinds there are out there but found this one and it looked good so I ordered it. Exact replacement! Shade goes up and down like butter now.

Well, the wand would have been fine but unfortunately, the rod arrived crooked so I’m returning It.
