> 3 dayPackaging looks like this is a full kit with a hose. It is not. Im not sure why someone would want a window kit minus a hose, but now I have to shop for one of those as well, hoping it will fit this kit, because it is apparently completely impossible to find a full kit that is 5.1 and matches my unit. (The old hose and hose attachment have melted from so many summers of use).

> 3 dayI bought this kit over a month ago and just got around to installing it today. I saw right away that one of the panels had a 5 crack at one of the slider edges when I took it out of the box. Too late to return it now and I was desperate to get my portable AC unit installed, so I went with it. It is still functional and I will have to take care of that issue in the near future. Other than that, it was pretty easy to put together and install.

> 3 dayThis product took me a few tries to get pieces to fit together and slide parts to fit my patio door but once I loosen the screws the pieces were easier to adjust. Also the vent opening on my air conditioner was too big to fit properly but I was able to combine the new and original parts together with a little bit of duct tape!

> 3 dayI bought this for my parents, they said that it was too flimsy & it left gaps. Probably would not purchase again.

> 3 dayI really wanted to like this. I only have one window I can install my portable air conditioner in. I wanted to try the door. Pretty much every sliding door adapter I could find looked the same. This one was a monster to install. I had to make modifications to the basic design to even get the hose in. I couldnt place it along the sliding door track because it would just fall out. I had to do a lot of fiddling to get it to work. And now that I have, I keep getting bugs in my house. I think Im going to move the air conditioner back to the window.

> 3 dayIt all seems nice upon unpacking, and packaging is great (suggesting a quality product) but the joy is of short duration! Once mounted, there are huge air gaps everywhere, top, bottom, sides and in-between, and the door lock mechanism has absolutely not been taken into consideration, adding to the gap. Insulation = zero, no matter how much of the provided tape you intend to put up. The hose adapter that clicks into the frame is totally non-sealed, and loose-ish (air gaps). Regretfully, I only unpacked it now, as I have not used it last year, unfortunately!!!, otherwise it would have been a straight return!!! Very very upset with this purchase.
