U.S. Art Supply 11 x 17 Artist Sketch Tote Board - Great for Classroom, Studio or Field Use

Extremely unhappy. I just tried to use this item for the first time. The clasps to hold paper are absolutely impossible to open!! I cannot figure any way to make them work. And now this item is just outside of being able to be returned! I never imagined this could happen!

I received this very quickly and the board is in perfect condition (18 x 18). It seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that it didnt come with instructions on how to open the clips! I have only had boards with the standard style clipboard clips. I couldnt figure it out so I went on You tube (where else?!). All is well now. I do believe the manufacturer should include instructions in the packaging--one should not have to go search for information like this, especially when the clips are an essential part of its functionality.

The actual dimension of this board are 18 x14.5. If you consider the space taken by the handle and the clip, you can fit a sheet of up to 16x11 size. I am overall quite satisfied with this item, perfect for drawing on my usual 11x14 sheets. The only thing I don’t like too much is that the clip is a bit misaligned. But it’s a good clip, I like that it sits flush with the board so id doesn’t bend the paper like other clips do. Would buy again.

I got this to use for writing letters and drawing when not at my desk. It’s big enough for a large sketch pad too which is what I was looking for. The handle is on the left which works well for me as a righty. I am satisfied with the thickness and it feels sturdy, but gave 4 stars because of two things. One, the clip on top was clearly mounted crooked. Two, the rubber band this comes with seems to vary a bit in thickness in one or two spots so I wonder how long it will last. But given it works fine I’m satisfied and would buy again for the price.

Meets needs

My husband has to do a lot of walking and measuring outside for his job. He loves this board. It’s big enough to hold the extra long paper he uses & there’s a band at one end to keep the wind from blowing the paper all over the place.

I like the quality and the clips are much better than the larger clips Ive elsewhere on drawing boards. Also, lighter wt. than wood ones. thanks
