U.S. Art Supply 11 x 17 Artist Sketch Tote Board - Great for Classroom, Studio or Field Use

This had all the potential to be a five start review and would have been....except for a few of things. First was the packaging. There we two items in this package, which is fine, and the other item was okay. The board, in spite of an attempt at a clever support for one end, did not lay flat. That meant that the under side was mostly unsupported. So, when the large air bubbles were placed on top and the package closed it caused pressure on board, which accounted for the slight warping. I think that if I turn it over and keep my drawing box on it, that it should flatten out but time will tell on that one. The second concern is that the large red band has a 1/4 cut in the middle of it. At some point it will expand and snap. That is a QC issue that needs to be looked at. Update: Had to lower the rating as I forgot to mention that the clip is mounted unevenly and leaves gouges in you paper.

The size is right the drawing area is well calculated the rubber band is a must and it has it the clip is good and strong and easy to use the board is very sturdy as it should be the handle is placed in a good place with plenty of room left for the artwork. Good handy board for those times when you are using smaller paper and you dont want to lag or use the standard size board. Great companion board to your main standard size one.

I received this very quickly and the board is in perfect condition (18 x 18). It seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that it didnt come with instructions on how to open the clips! I have only had boards with the standard style clipboard clips. I couldnt figure it out so I went on You tube (where else?!). All is well now. I do believe the manufacturer should include instructions in the packaging--one should not have to go search for information like this, especially when the clips are an essential part of its functionality.

Just the right size for what I need.

Just the perfect size for working on sketching while sketching the astronomical view of planets, star clusters, nebula. The 18 X 18 will hold several sheets of paper and allow for two views of the objects. Great board. Nice quality.

I use it for watercolor and when it gets wet it frays and swells a little. Other than that, I love it.

Using for diamond painting, hold canvas perfectly, I love it!
