> 3 dayI should have listened to other reviewers. I ordered ten 9x12 sketch pads and received six that were 9x12 and two that were 5.5x8.5. Whaaaat? And the smaller ones, as shown in the photo, are invoiced as 9x12.

> 3 dayNice thicker paper! I bought color pencils to go with this for making homemade cards and now wish I would have gotten felt-tip pens like I used to make my cards with. Im positive it would not leak through. Very good sketch paper!

> 3 dayExcellent sketch book for my kids and their exercises in art! This sketch book is a pad of paper of 30 sheets. The paper is textured and is matte. I find the structure of sheets is quite porous, so the best, in my opinion, is to use pencils, crayons, charcoal and pastels with this paper. It is quite thick, so is you have to erase or correct something, you dont have to worry about making a mess. I find that the type of the picture that is shown on the front cover is exactly the style of pictures that you would want to use this pad for. Remember that it is a smaller sized pad. I use these a lot with my kids when we are practising and sketching details and parts before creating a full picture - great for art exercises and learning how to draw shapes. Sample was provided free of charge for testing and a review.

> 3 dayI purchased (2) US Art Supply 5.5 x 8.5 Premium Heavy-weight Sketchpads because it has loads of positive reviews, and Strathmore doesnt offer a top-spiral-bound sketchbook. I have been using them regularly since 06/19/19. POSITIVES: 1) The sketchbook has survived being shoved into my purse every day for almost a month with only minimal wear. Considering the state of my purse, this is impressive. 2) If youre looking for something to practice on while out and about, this is a solid choice. I use it like newsprint: practicing different shading techniques and strokes, and quickly sketching out poses/expressions. 3) Everything but the spiral is biodegradable, and degrades quickly, so no one will ever see your unrefined practice work. NEGATIVES: 1) Instagram artists, beware: Natural White is in fact the most un-photogenic gray Ive ever had the misfortune of drawing on. 2) This is not semi-textured paper made to accept all mixed media. The texture is coarse but wrong for charcoal, and it rejects everything but ballpoint. Graphite transfer is significant: within a day, sketches look blurred and faded. When I tested Sharpies on it, the papers texture dulled the nibs and the colors faded into the un-photogenic gray. 3) This is not the sketchpad for glamorous scenery sketches, nor is it one for preserving your childs artwork.
