> 3 dayI work at a hospital in Denver specializing in treating allergies and skin conditions. They sell this in the gift shop and its wonderful. I have eczema and very dry sensitive skin (not helped by living at altitude in an arid climate). The dermatologists here recommend the soak and seal method of skin care. Soak in a bath (not hot) or shower for 10-15 minutes. Pat skin with towel but do not dry completely. Then apply a thick, unscented cream like Vanicream to seal in moisture. Research shows that a genetic flaw seems to be responsible for skin that doesnt hold enough moisture, which can lead to skin problems. This method works great!

> 3 dayMy dermatologist recommended this to me due to my chronically dry skin. Within a matter of days, my skin no longer had that chalky look. Its a miracle, as far as Im concerned, because I have tried at least a dozen different so-called moisturizers. I only have two very minor complaints. The first is if I happen to put even a small amount of this on my face, I break out. Im not quite sure why that would be. I use Vanicream LIte for my face and its fine; however, it doesnt moisturize quite as effectively. The second small complaint I have is that even though it isnt supposed to have a fragrance, it does have a slight odor that I dont particularly care for. Its easy enough to cover up with body spray, though, and most people probably wouldnt even notice it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this moisturizer to anyone who has been struggling with dry, ashy skin. It certainly works for me!

> 3 dayMy five year old son has suffered with eczema his entire life. His doctors recommended vanicream to us, and we love all their products, particularly this cream and the sunscreen. It is hard to find products for sensitive skin which are also fragrance free, and thats important for us, as my son gets hives from anything with fragrance. Even lots of the naturals lines which advertise that they are for kids with eczema, have herbs and things in them which kids with allergies tend to be bothered by. This is thick, but soaks in quickly and doesnt leave a greasy residue. If applied immediately after bathing to moist skin, it really clears all his eczema spots up in a couple of uses. Definitely recommend.

> 3 dayMy sons pediatrician recommend this for my baby at just a couple months old who had eczema. Its very gentle and moisturizing and soaks in well as it dries. It has no scent at all, not even that unscented scent of old lady smell. Vanicream has a face moisturizer too but I have been using this on my face since I too have a little exzema. Of its gentle enough to put on my 2 month old, why not my face? It doesnt even cause acne for me and I usually have pretty picky skin on my face. Love this. We keep it in stock at our house.

> 3 dayIt’s fine. A bit stickier as you apply compared to cerave, but it goes away as cream absorbs into the skin. I usually buy Cerave but wanted to try vanicream since everybody recommends it as a cheaper alternative. Well, it wasn’t cheaper really. And as I understand doesn’t have ceramides and other good stuff that Cerave has. It smells a bit off to me too. If it was $9 instead of $13 I would say it’s a good alternative. But a buck or two (or in case of a coupon -$0 ) dollars difference doesn’t make it a worthy contestant. CeraVe is nicer in terms of texture, almost no smell compared to Vanicream moisturizer, and has ceramides.

> 3 dayI will say that this product moisturized my face very well. Its a bit sticky but personally I did not mind it at all. What really made me dislike this product was the atrocious smell. The moisturizer I got smelled like rotten milk. I had gotten to a point where putting this on my face would make me gag. Perhaps this is a defect product.. and I hope it is because I think its a good moisturizer aside from the terrible smell. However, this is my second purchase of Vanicream moisturizers and both of them had that same nasty smell, so my track record with Vanicream moisturizers isnt great at all.

> 3 dayI usually spend entirely too much money on bougie skin care products that promise me I am going to look 20 years younger if I just pay their exorbitant price and use it. My bathroom cabinet of half used moisturizers is a testament to the fact that I am a marketers dream and can be sold anything. My esthetician Monica at my plastic surgeon’s office suggested this. She had other products she suggested that were more expensive and surprisingly effective but she said for an everyday moisturizer, this is all I need. She was correct. Vanicream has such a great soft fluffy texture, goes on smoothly, is not heavy or overly greasy, and is unscented.. I put a dollop in my hand, squirt on a pump of my BB cream and I have an instant tinted moisturizer. I also dip my concealer wand into a dab of it and it keeps it from caking up in my crow’s feet. Finish with a light powder brushed all over your face and you are ready for the day. If you are a fabulous 50-ish woman, do yourself a favor and give it a try. It is not expensive for the large amount you get and will last a long time.
