I like the concept of this adapter. The execution leaves a bit to be desired. The positive and negative should be a mirror of the solar panel connectors. These are the opposite. The red wire plugs into the negative output of the solar panel and the black wire plugs into the positive output of the solar panel. I wanted to like this product but this is a glaring mistake and I would not recommend this adapter. I have included photos to help clarify the problems. Photo one shows positive output of a solar and the positive input of this unit. They are the same. Photo two is the negative output of my solar panel. If you look closely you will see the - symbol. It only plugs into the positive of this adapter. Photo three shows the positive output of my solar panel plugged into the black wire. If you buy this be careful not to burn up your equipment. I would return it if it wasn’t such a waste of my time. I will trash it because that is what it is good for.

The SAE solar cable to hook up to my solar panel works like it should. I appreciate it very much.

It work perfectly for what I needed

The unit has reversed polarity when connected to my solar panel, requiring the use of the accessory. I will however cut off a properly orient the MC-4 connectors to be compatible with my solar panel.
