> 24 hourUpdate: after a 6 months it developed two dead pixels. Taking away two stars. Starter projectors are not worth it. Save a little longer and buy a good brand. This projector is amazing and has lasted longer than the other three previous.

> 24 hourMy other projector is an Epson Laser short throw, so I was expecting a...shorter short throw. But my Epson went down and this showed up at my door, and wow, this is a terrific little projector. The distance from the wall in the photo is 78. The HD resolution is great, not as good as the Epson, but for the difference in price...I have it connected to an Amazon Fire TV box. Using Bose computer speakers. Theres a computer audio plug on the back of the projector along with a couple of phone plugs, two HDMI connectors and VGA. Im wondering when VGA connectors will finally disappear. So, this is a great projector. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourColors are great and the brightness is strong enough for me to watch during the day in a room with 2 windows. I can’t believe how quality this thing feels for less than a grand! Pleasantly surprised.

> 24 hourLove the projector used as my living room tv on a 100 inch screen it has great image and shows up well in a sunny room but in the end I sent it back and got an 85 inch 4K tv my living room is a little to bright and I wanted a sharper pic but if your room can be darkened in the day this thing rocks

> 24 hourIve had a Viewsonic PJD5555W (WXGA, 1280x800) for quite a few years and have been waiting for a Viewsonic 1080P projector to come down in price. The PJD5555W has been flawless for almost 6 years and when I saw this one that had the same throw ratio and looked identical as far as connections on the reverse, I ordered it. Its only been a week but so far, so good. Furthermore, it appears to have some functions that the older Viewsonic does not to optimize the image and the brightness is slightly better. Will it last another 6 years? I dont know ... I may not last another 6 years, but so far so good. Very happy with this one.

> 24 hourvery crisp images. solid mounting. handy charging port on the projector for airstick etc. no issues whatsoever. very happy with the purchase. takes a couple of minutes to turn off completely. the onboard speaker is useless though.

> 24 hourI wanted a screen up on the ceiling so that I can play video games while lying down on my bed, and Viewsonic PX706HD met my needs perfectly. It has short throw ratio of 0.69:1 - 0.83:1, which is about 100 inch screen from my bedside table in 9 feet high room, HDMI CEC function that lets the projector automatically turn on when my game consoles are on, and minimal input lag for optimal game plays. It is also relatively small in size, and quiet as well, relatively. Now, Optoma GT1080HDR did seem like a better candidate in this price range at first, but Optoma strongly discourages vertical mounting or even the slightest tilting of their projectors. Not that Viewsonic fully supports vertical mounting, but it seems Viewsonic PX706HD is more stable projector, as there are a few faulty units of Optoma GT1080HDR in the reviews.

> 24 hourComplete trash . This thing crapped the bed not even 18 hrs after delivery. 1st of all what a PITA to get a good picture. I have a theatre style setup in my basement with a 1080p Elsinore projector . I decided to upgrade to this junk. I had to move the view sonic 4 freaking feet closer to get a good picture. Then the next day I couldn’t even get a picture signal I had to unplug and plug in the hdmi cords to get it back. 90% of the time it doesn’t even turn on with the remote. Like I said absolutely trash product. Stay far away.

> 24 hourWe had problems with this projector from the beginning. The picture is clear but it freezes every 10 to 15 minutes. Originally we thought it was the transmitter we connected to the machine but when we connected directly to the machine with a quality hdmi chord it still froze. I would not purchase this machine again. Very disappointing.
