ViewSonic VA2746MH-LED 27 Inch Full HD 1080p LED Monitor with HDMI and VGA Inputs for Home and Office Black

We purchased this monitor as part of our security system. It appears to be well-made with a great picture. Time will tell how well it performs.

Before all was said and done I received two of these monitors. The first one was replaced by Amazon with a second identical monitor. Both had a serious problem! Ive been at this process of image quality control for many years, and this is the first time Ive seen this problem with any monitor at any price point. Both of these monitors have approximately a 40% variance in brightness from the bottom to the top. This isnt the usual increase in brightness that you see on low-cost monitors around the edges. I was able to place a 10 step image Stepwedge on the screen to determine the visual variance. Using an Xrite Color Calibration device and actually observe this variation by moving the device up and down the screen.

A client of mine wanted to loop videos in his reception area and he wanted to cover the width of the column with the screen. This monitor hangs off each side by just 1/2 of an inch. And being a high quality ViewSonic product, the videos display crisp and clear.

Everything is great except speakers are not very loud.

First Thing, this is a EXCELLENT monitor but, Secondly, replace the HDMI CABLE, the one that it comes with it is cheap and leaks signal and causes ALOT of electrical interference with other things like the camera that I have on the top for video conferences and the FM receiver I have on top of my desk. Once I replaced the cable with a quality shielded cable, my problems with interference disappeared. And I noticed my picture quality improved as well.
