My baseline clips that I have used in the past are the OXO variety. But those are a bit pricey. I came to Amazon looking for magnetic bag clips that I could fix to my fridge door. These look fine, but Ive disappointed by the clip strength. Far weaker than my previous bag clips and doesnt feel like it will effectively seal a bag and keep things fresh.

Several reviews complained that the magnets arent very powerful. I did not have that problem, but the springs are so weak that Im not sure these clips will even hold the weight of a single piece of paper, so the strength of the magnet is immaterial. These clips have now been relegated to chip clips, but they dont even do that very well!

I cannot say enough good things about the clip portion of these. They look sharp and are strong and work well. Unfortunately the magnets are just too weak. I am getting away with using these by sticking neodymium magnets of twice the diameter to the fridge first, then the magnets in the clips to those on the fridge.

I just got these (Clear) delivered and I compared them to similar products that I bought elsewhere (Red, Blue). They are substantially similar, and I like this design a lot. My only complaint is that the springs in the new, clear clips Are much easier to open. It takes much less force to open the clip. That also means that they will not clamped down with as much force as the previous red and blue clips I own. If you look at the pictures, you can see that the springs on the clear clips that I just bought are made of a smaller gauge of wire than the springs on the older red and blue clips.

Finally found magnetic clips that dont slide down my fridge. These have that nice silver magnet and can actually hold several pieces of paper without sliding. The spring is strong and holds stuff tight. And my kids love the colors! I would recommend these to friends.

These are very big, but the plastic is not sturdy and the magnet is not strong.

I sought out to buy this style of chip clip after receiving a couple that looked just like them at a campus event. They do a good job at exactly what you need them to, keeping a bag of chips closed. I was pleasantly surprised that the magnets were a little stronger than I anticipated. I find great use in hanging coupons with my unused ones. The plastic seems thick enough to where its not likely to break (I pressed on it fairly hard to try). In the unlikely event it does break, Ill post an update. If I had to be critical on a feature, it would be the grip strength being a bit lower than I would anticipate. However, I would purchase again if I needed more.

I bought these because they looked exactly like a 2 pack that I bought at my local ACE Hardware, the ACE ones had really strong magnets and thats why I liked them, unfortunately one broke when I closed it in a cabinet door. I bought these to have and have extras, the description said strong. They cant even hold more than 2 recipe cards. They look nice, not like theyre super durable though. - Wont buy again when they break.
