I dont leave reviews much unless I am really impressed with product. Great optics and sharp image for the price. Controls are solid. Let a lot of light in and work well in low light. Also like the matte green finish. This review is for 12 x 50 crossfire. I also have 10 x 42 crossfire which are a fantastic set of all around binocs, but I wanted to get just a little more magnification. I was a little concerned that the 12 x 50 would be hard to hold steady. Not the case at all. I can keep them just as steady as the 10 x 42. I was hoping these entry level Vortex would be good enough for me and my critter watching. They seem fantastic to me for sub 200.00 binocs. As I said, I bought a second pair.

Outstanding set of binoculars. Just finished using them on a Montana Elk hunt and they delivered everything I expected. Vortex is really making a name for its self and I would be hard pressed to buy any other brand of opitic.
