> 3 dayThese are so much better than the ones included with the clippers. Everyone mentioned the same but no one explained exactly why. Unlike others, I experienced a much easier time taking these in and out, much easier than the full plastic ones. The metal click gives you a premium feel. These guides are made of a much stronger plastic. Curiously, the plastic is slightly thinner, but once you get to play with them, youll see that they flex less, so you will be getting a much better haircut, with less mistakes. The big problem with the included guides is that they flex with a minimal change in pressure, producing worse results. No problem with these. The metal has nothing to do with the sturdiness as others mentioned, the metal is only for the looks and also to attach them to the clipper, but what makes these ones so much better is the way stronger plastic. I also like the design. At the very little top end of the guides these have a little curve pointing up that allows for better grip of your hair, especially if you are cutting long hair. Very happy with the purchase!

> 3 dayThese are certainly a major upgrade over the standard guards that come with wahl clippers. Before I got my cordless wahl magic clippers I had andis clippers and the andis premium guards are made of stronger plastic and have a more premium feel. But wahl premium guards are good enough and definitely better than the trash ones that come with the clippers. For some plastic and a little metal to hold the clip in place I think they are overpriced but thats just my opinion. I felt I had to buy them because the regular guards were pretty much useless for me. I am not a professional barber. Id recommend these for personal use.

> 3 dayHaving been a Master Barber for 32 years you can say I’ve tried everything available in clipper world. As far as I’m concerned Wahl Senior Clippers with the “Professional Black Clipper Guards” WITH metal clips, are my go-to when fading. This along with a Andis t-edger and you will be the king of the fade and line-up. Now go out there and make it happen.

> 3 dayThis is a high quality set of hair cutting guides with metal clips that combined with an open and closed blade adjustments should cut most short hair styles. In my case, I am not a trained barber and so I preferred a couple additional guides not offered in this set to help me achieve a military style cut. The short guides with plastic clips can easily pop loose and if you do not notice in time the mistake might ruin your hair cut. In my experience. the longer guides with the plastic clips do not pop loose very often but I still bought the complete set of guides with metal clips to replace all the guides with plastic clips. Why take any unnecessary chances?

Greater than one weekThey clamp on a lot tighter than ones without metal clamp..however when your changing guards the black on black on the cradle is time consuming when cutting at a fast pace. I used a Sharpie for the guard because you cant see the silver number on the silver plate..and nail polish on numbers on the cradle. Problem solved. See pic..
