I used to use plastic bags for reading my kindle in the hot tub but bought one of these to use while on a Palm Springs vacation to a house with a pool. It worked great, especially the lanyard which helped prop it up for reading while floating in the pool. Fits my paperwhite kindle perfectly. Keeps it dry if it falls into water. Can push through the plastic to navigate the kindle, just a little tougher material than a plastic bag.

This is awesome to use while Im in the pool. Its clear, easy to see and the seal is secure (three heavy duty ziploc type closures that fold over each other and they and snap enclosure to keep it that way). The only reason I gave it a 4 star is that there is really no easy way to turn my Kindle Keyboard on or off easily. I crunch up the cover and then slide the switch. Im afraid it will damage the waterproof feature eventually. if anyone has a better suggestion please let me know.

I love to read my kindle in the hot tub or bathtub so this works perfect. I had a different brand that was hard to seal compared to this one and that one split at the bottom so was no longer waterproof. I love this one and it works perfect with the kindle paper white. It is very receptive to touch and I can turn it on and off without removing from the pouch.

I was wishing my kindle was waterproof but didnt want to spend over $100 just for that feature when my kindle is just a year old. So I happen to see this and it is perfect! It will get a little foggy but I havent had that happen too often and I use it at least once a week. I am very happy with the quality and it seems to work well with the touch screen interface without a problem. Definitely recommend if you dont want to spend tons of money!

A little large/baggy and the Kindle isnt super responsive when its one but it provides fantastic water protection and I love the cord to tie it around the neck. Good for the bath or hanging out by the pool/on the beach. Great for vacations. The benefit to the big size is that I could probably put some cash/my wallet and even my cell phone in there without problem if I needed the extra protection from water and pick pockets!

this is one of my best buys on Amazon!!! going on my 3rd summer with this for reading in my pool... works GREAT and it has been dropped in the drink a few times and def splashed on many... no problems whatsoever... kindle stays nice and dry!!!

I bought this protective case for my Kindle Paperwhite for a trip to Hawaii. Im very happy with my purchase! I wanted to be able to read on the beach without worrying about sand or water damaging my device. It completely guarded my device against any harm. It has a string around it that allows you to put it around your neck, which is helpful if you need to do some walking or get up and down a lot.

I use this to read my kindle in my pool. Absolutely love it. Easy to swipe thru the holder and definitely waterproof. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to read in the pool. Up until this year I have always gone and bought used paperbacks to read in the pool but after finding this I can now read my kindle. I have been using it about a month almost every day in the pool and my kindle is in perfect working order. The sun shining on it in the plastic has not caused overheating and its easy to see the text in the plastic.

yes this is waterproof and works very well that way, but it is cumbersome when trying to read in the pool. my nook and kindle (e-readers, not tablets) slide around a bit in the case and the last line or 2 of the screen are behind the colored plastic. ive taken to placing in some folded napkins to keep it in place. i also need to remember to place the e reader in upside down to have the neck cord fit me appropriately. it DOES float, even with the e reader in! easy to turn pages on both readers, go to the home screen/library etc.
