Worked great for my early generation PS4. Just make sure you adjust your USB power settings always powered instead of 4 hrs if you use rest mode or you will have to repair the drive every time you login. It worked every time before I changed my settings but it is a bit annoying. I dont think you have that issue if you power off the PS4.

I always felt anxious at the thought of opening the ps4 console and upgrading the storage capacity. This is the best alternative. After plugging it in, just follow the simple instructions and you can soon move whichever games you want from the internal storage to the external one. Games still play fluidly from the WD external hard drive and can finally play Red Dead Redemption 2. With the games I have on there like Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 15 and Red Dead, I still have well over 1 TB of storage left. 4 TB is a bit of an overkill in my opinion since I will be deleting games I no longer play so 2 TB is the sweet spot.

Best deal we could find on WD anywhere. Easy to install on the Xbox One. Good amount of space, games transferred easily.
