This is a very easy installation. Just plug it into the Xbox One and done. The default storage that comes with the Xbox One will fill up quick if you download much games so this is nice to add a decent amount of storage. Plus it allows you to take your games with you to other consoles if needed.

This is just what my son and I needed to expand the room on our PS4

Day one, I moved games to this external storage from my PS4 internal storage to ease processing of update files for large games, I set it for storing all future game installations and downloads. I had a bunch of games in my purchased library that did not fit on the PS4. I downloaded all of them to this and re-installed my overflow of disk based games. Love. This works seamlessly, but it runs hot when it works on large downloads. I stood an equipment cooling fan near it to keep room air moving over it. WD drives are the best. I have had one spinning in my home for 7 years now.

Bought this as a Christmas present in 2018. Stopped working in July 2019. My son used it for his Xbox. He really liked the storage on this, but not worth the money if it only lasts 7 months!

This hard drive works with whatever devices can handle USB storage devices. Its fast, but there are others out there that may suit your needs better. But for speed and portability, this one is great!
