I always felt anxious at the thought of opening the ps4 console and upgrading the storage capacity. This is the best alternative. After plugging it in, just follow the simple instructions and you can soon move whichever games you want from the internal storage to the external one. Games still play fluidly from the WD external hard drive and can finally play Red Dead Redemption 2. With the games I have on there like Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 15 and Red Dead, I still have well over 1 TB of storage left. 4 TB is a bit of an overkill in my opinion since I will be deleting games I no longer play so 2 TB is the sweet spot.

Does what youd expect it to. After having a bad experience with Samsung and Seagate hard drives in the past WD has never let me down and I chose to go for this one. Initially I did have some issues. Plugged it into the PS4 only to be told not compatible and must be USB 3.0 only which had me feeling I was ripped off! Turns out the PS4 has two different types of USB ports. Plugged it into the correct slot and once formatted (in about 30secs) was ready to use. Easy to set up. 2Tb more than enough and at that price its cheaper than others. Only reason I have given it 4 stars is because the Transfer rate is a bit slow and a very bright LED light is a bit unpleasant at night.

Works awesome. Pretty much a plug and play item. Now I can finally download all the games Ive bought for my ps4 and have them ready to play instantly. If only my wifi worked as well as this

Best thing you can get for your ps4. I never have to worry about storage space. I get to keep and use all my without worry. Not having to re-download games when I want play them. I have about 50 games and plenty of room to go. Get for for houses with multiple people with different gaming preferences.
