After a year and change it just up and took a dump. Not recoverable. Couldnt see anything on a PC. The light is on and flickering, theres some noise on the hard drive, but will not give up any data. I am so disappointed that I am actually considering replacing it with a Seagate drive.

I purchased this as a gift for my brother who was running out storage space in his PS4. I was very concerned about having to add the storage to his game console, but it was not an issue at all. It was very straight forward to do it. My brother was so pleased with it that asked me to get the 2T version for his son.

Works well. My son had to keep deleting games on his Xbox One and this was the best option. Easily set it up within minutes.

Was able to transfer games from the PS4 (500gb) over to this and only took up a tiny bit of room. Son was elated. You can transport it (even in your pocket) and plug it into someone else’s PS4 for “game night.” He is highly pleased. Thank you, Santa.

I was very excited for the value and performance of this item when I first got it. Extremely easy to format, and it was good to go right out of the package. The reviews are a little misleading because I honestly think to give this product an honest assessment, it needed to be given some time. I bought this external hard drive on March 2019. Everything was fine up until November 2019, when I noticed that I was always getting prompted to repair my external storage. That was manageable considering I was still able to access my external hard drive’s content. I followed the All of the online advice, rebuilding the database, restarting, etc... up until today, Feb 2020. Less than a year from purchase, I’ve reformatted this hard drive every time I turned on my PS4 because the console does not recognize it anymore. I’ve lost all my saved content on the hard drive. Safe to say, that the external hard drive has reached the end of it’s life, and I’ve reached the end of my patience. The value got me excited, but I feel that there might be better ones out there that’s got better longevity.

Got this as a Christmas gift in 2018. It is now May of 2022 and its completely stopped working and is unrecognizable to my PS4. Before it stopped working, it continuously disconnected from my ps4 so I had to physically unplug it from my ps4 and blow into the port multiple times to get it to work. That worked for 1 year and some change and now it doesnt work at all. The light is on but it continuously blinks and my PS4 cannot recognize it. So now, I cannot play any of my games and have to basically redownload everything onto my systems storage which will take at least a day. Crazy part is, I havent even used 1TB of my 4TB extended storage. So the money spent on this was a waste. Will not be recommending this product or any other products by this company.

Very simple, just plug it in, and select to use it as storage. worth the money, not made out of cheap materiel
