WD Black are always a nice value/quality for money. I use them for games and they work great.

I feel silly to write a review about a product that works. Obviously, its longevity is to be seen. Fingers crossed. Also, download the Western Digital dashboard. There might be a firmware update available.

I have a Gen3 Motherboard.. and got very good results with the stock heatsink m.2 Shield Frozr of Mortar Wifi b460m

Installing this SSD is a Breeze, Even for the Technologically Challenged! Just pop open your laptop, slip it in, tighten the screw like a boss, close er up and voila! With a few clicks, youll have Windows recognizing your new drive like its no big deal. So simple, even your grandma could do it

Used this to have a dedicated OS SSD, works great.

Although this ssd is DRAM less, I get higher speeds than with others that I tested that do have DRAM (maybe because they are generation 3)

When I installed this, I booted machine and windows didn’t recognize it. I was utterly confused and didn’t know what to do. All the tutorials said to “update the drivers in device manager”. Eventually, I found a solution. You need to go to search, “partitions”, the first results should bring up a page where you can create a partition. Then boom, you have your ssd.

I was on the market looking for a 1 TB SSD that could take advantage of M.2 and found this. Its fast and has enough storage for my needs at the moment. The only downside is that I did not have a screw to fasten it down to the motherboard.
