> 24 hourIn fan-cooled OWC Thunderbolt-4 enclosure, the write speed that started at the Thunderbolt single-lane maximum of 750MB/s had degraded to 350MB/s after the first 500GB, and all the way down to 250MB/s toward the end of the bulk data transfer from another NVMe source. Its long past time for NVMe vendors to disclose their SUSTAINED write speeds, and their thermal throttling characteristics. Most of the marketing puffery around burst-read and burst-write speeds that use caches in the NVMe modules dont represent the real world. This module is like most others, which have all shown similar limitations.

> 24 hourI had a 2.5 SATA drive as my boot/system disk, and while I knew there wouldnt be much difference in performance, the chance to remove a couple of cables was too much to resist.

> 24 hourThe SSD reached on time and the packing was ok. Could have used more packing , since the pack was blowing away as I was walking.
