Installed into my PS5, as per Sony’s instructions and with the latest update, and my console turned on, flashed blue lights for a couple of seconds and then switched off.

I bought this on sale with an after market heatsink MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink, Double-Sided Heat Sink, with Thermal Silicone pad to install in a PS5. It installed perfectly in the console. YouTube helped in the installation but it was super easy. Once I rebooted the PS5, it formatted the new drive and I was good to go. I think at retail this is too expensive but I caught it on sale at another online retailer. I had been watching some of the other brands that were known to be less reliable but jumped on this when it was discounted. I copied over several of the games on the consoles main SSD to this one and everything went smoothly. I havent seen any performance hits when playing those games off the WD drive.

Purchased as a upgrade for the PS5s paltry storage.

Works great with PlayStation 5.

Just installed this in the PS5 (as I am on the beta test for the latest patch) and can confirm it works fine. I coupled it with a Glotrend £12.99 heatsink (one sided as I bought the 1TB drive), and the PS5 instantly recognised it and reported it was capable of 6999mb/s. I moved a number of PS5 games across to it, and they are all playing with no issues.

Marca qué se alcanza velocidades de 7000 mbs pero en la laptop solo llega hasta 3400. Revise configuraciones y son las óptimas pero revisando son Gen 3. También compre el WD blue y ese si llega a 3500 como lo marca en su publicidad. No recomiendo este m2 si es para una laptop con PCIe Gen 3. Compre de otra categoría como el blue o green qué les dará la misma velocidad por un precio mucho menor

I installed the ssd in my Alienware m15 R2. It really isnt that hard to do it. The hardest part was to nudge it in his slot, then literally one screw later its installed. Do not panic when it wont show up in windows, you need to initialise it for the first time and then its ready to go. You can also download an app to see more details about your ssd. Coming to the actual functionality of the device, it has a game mode, which should make it a bit faster. It was really funny when I just coppied 2 videos off my desktop, onto this new ssd at the mind bending speed of 1 gbps. It literally took 2 seconds to copy 2 gb. Id say it does what it says on the tin and it well deserves the 5 stars.

Shipped with the wrong sized thermal pads under the heatsink. They did NOT actually touch the memory or controller, basically useless pads. Had to pry the heatsink off and replace them with 2.0mm thermal pads. Paid extra for this stuff to be included and yet they didnt actually work. Check other reviews or look elsewhere online as this is not that rare of an issue.
