> 3 dayI purchased the digital version of the PlayStation 5 when it came out. I was already switching everything over to a digital format. I was tired of all the clutter of disk games, as well as movies. My only complaint about my PS5, was the storage capacity. So when I found that I could update to a 2t drive I did a little research, and found this product. I was hesitant at first, but after watching videos on how to install it, it was fairly easy. Now I have enough storage to keep playing games and do away with my external hard drive. I highly recommend this to anyone who is considering upgrading their internal storage. It’s money we’ll spent.

> 3 dayIf you want to have a library of more than a few AAA games on your PS5, you need a SSD. The quality of life improvement is huge. A quick YouTube video and you can install this in 5 minutes. You can find cheaper SSDs but I prefer not to buy off-brand for an essential part or deal with potential firmware issues.

> 3 dayAlthough this is expensive it more than doubles the memory of the PS5. It is a must since you can only fit a few games on the factory memory. It only took me 3 minutes to install. Working seamlessly with my game system

> 3 dayWhat can I say, the PS5 fills up pretty quick with the size of games these days. This little NVMe drive installs quickly and easily, and now I have plenty of space to download all of the games my daughter and I play together... and sure, a few that are just mine too! Performance is very speedy and I cant really tell any difference between the OEM and this SSD as far as load times go. Both are WAY faster than even a really good USB drive used externally (where all of my PS4 games reside). Just bite your lip and click buy... the price will only hurt for a minute (its not THAT bad, after all), but youll love it every time you dont have to wait forever for your games to load on the PS5.

> 3 dayI used the Solid State Drive for my PS 5 to have more memory and the download speed is amazing. Because the ps 5 only comes with 825GB. With the solid state I have plenty Of space to install all of my games . There are several videos on how to install the western digital. Black s solid state drive on YouTube . I think it is great.

> 3 dayI avoided buying one of these when it came out because I’m not very experienced with the more technical aspect of consoles, so I figured the install would be beyond my abilities. This is literally as easy as plugging in an external hard drive. It took less than 10 minutes to have it installed and formatted. Just a few screws and you’re done. Setup is easy too, just format it and you’re done. This is insanely helpful for me, I have always hated that PS5 games can only be installed on the internal storage, so having far more storage is a godsend. Definitely recommend this to anyone with a PS5.

> 3 daySony has a good YouTube video (title: M.2 SSD Installation for PS5 Console) that makes installing the WD Black SSD very easy. When you turn your PS5 on, it automatically walks you through the quick setup. I bought the 1TB SSD and for $100, it was worth the money. Plenty of storage for the games I have (Modern Warfare, MW2, GTA Online, Sniper Elite 5). If youre worried about storage, get the 2TB SSD. My read / write speed was around 6,500 MB/s during install and it actually has 1TB of usable storage. One tip during installation, be mindful of the silver spacer under the small SSD screw. That spacer needs to be used with the screw to secure the SSD properly. The Sony video shows this of course, but its easy to overlook when youre doing the install. It took me like 15 minutes, but I also cleaned all the dust out under both covers since I was already working on it I might as well clean it.
