Got this on sale. Basically plug and play. Works like a charm and is very fast. Just glad I can some games on my PS5 without killing all the internal storage.

I purchased the digital version of the PlayStation 5 when it came out. I was already switching everything over to a digital format. I was tired of all the clutter of disk games, as well as movies. My only complaint about my PS5, was the storage capacity. So when I found that I could update to a 2t drive I did a little research, and found this product. I was hesitant at first, but after watching videos on how to install it, it was fairly easy. Now I have enough storage to keep playing games and do away with my external hard drive. I highly recommend this to anyone who is considering upgrading their internal storage. It’s money we’ll spent.

If you want to have a library of more than a few AAA games on your PS5, you need a SSD. The quality of life improvement is huge. A quick YouTube video and you can install this in 5 minutes. You can find cheaper SSDs but I prefer not to buy off-brand for an essential part or deal with potential firmware issues.

Kept an eye on the price for a while and finally dipped down to $160, worth every penny. Partnering directly with Sony to have an actual video tutorial made the install process a quick and easy 5 minutes.

First one was dead on arrival, second one was shipped quickly and works as it should. Will update in a few months if it is still working. But so far was able to move over 300gb without issue in about 3 mins.

My PS5 was getting crowded with all of my games, but now it can finally breathe with all this extra space. Installation was a breeze, just make sure to be very gentle when inserting it.
