I got this drive to expand the storage capacity on my PS5, and WOW does it work flawlessly! This is by far the best storage expansion I’ve ever purchased, and I’ve bought many an SD card, USB drive, external HDD, external SSD, etc.

CrystalDiskMark is showing 6966 MB/s read & 6522 MB/s write on my Gigabyte Z590 Vision D/i9-11900K/64GB RAM computer. Wow. Pricey, but premium PCIe Gen 4 drive. I got the 4TB capacity, which is not offered for the Samsung 980PRO. Great!!!

One thing before you enjoy your drive, the drive requires a M2-M3 screw of sufficient length in order to screw the side, opposite to the insert side, in. You need the top diameter of the screw to fill the half circle on the side of the drive to hold it down hence M2-M3, but it needs to have the proper length. I cant take out the drive and measure the mm, but when I bought some 3mm in length screws, they were not long enough. Go for 5-7 mm at my guess. Other than that, install away! My performance comments are next.

You don’t need any extensive tools to install install the storage drive!

i used it on ps5 for a month already, plugged in right out of the box, NO firmware update required, works great, faster than the internal ssd, one of the best performance with zero hassle.
