When i received first freezer container and boiled 10 minutes before first use. Im fell so bad smell, like plastic taste that make me headache all the night . I thinking about returning the item.I talked about the problem at mommy group chat and lot of mommy said they are use very well . No smell ever. I was get another new one and weesprout team send me the instruction for first wash. How to wash and disinfection. Im followed the instructions and really no smell and very easy clean, perfect size for each cube. I am used almost 1month and update this review. Save a lot time to make baby food and easy step for baby food all the time.

My wife and I purchased these primarily so we could freeze breast milk in 1oz portions. They have been by far the best trays that we have used for this purpose. We’ve also used them to freeze homemade baby food and they work even better! The lids seal an appropriate amount for our needs (we immediately transfer to freezer bags after they are frozen). The volume markings are accurate as well and we use those solely.

I got these to freeze squeezed lemon juice and ginger water to drop into a cup of hot water for daily intake of lemon water. Love the size. So cute in yellow.

I am an adult looking to shop wiser and reduce food waste. I bought these so I can use them to freeze left over portions of ingredient (yogurt, buttermilk, tomato sauce, etc) that I may not use all of it before it is about to expire. They pop out very well and I am able to place them into a reusable container and thaw them out as I need them for recipes. I love the quality of the product. I love that there is a 1 oz mark on the inside of each of the wells, but it would be nice if they were a little more distinct.

UPDATE! So company contacted me after my initial review. They explained that silicone test is not gonna work with this type of product and that their silicone is 100% food grade and FDA approved. I think it would be a good idea for company to add this details to their instructions to avoid any misunderstandings. Company explained that silcone can take on the smells of the things it came in close proximity too. I ordered 2 silicone trays out of which one had the smell that didnt want to come off. In that case I think company should work on better packaging for their product so this doesnt happen again. Other than that their customer service surprised me very much which is a great thing. I ordered their glass jars for baby food and theyre amazing so I would give them a shot in the future. My old review : I read all the reviews before I bought it and wanted to see for myself so I gave it a chance and its such a disappointment. First of all I did silicone test ( you have to pinch the material and if it turns whitish color its not a pure silicone and it has plastic additives which are not healthy for babies!). Second - smell is so strong and chemical! I washed it 3 times in dishwasher and by hand and as I understand that some silicones can take up smell of things they were close to this is unacceptable! I would never use it for myself and especially not for the baby.

So far I am happy with the purchase. I have frozen breastmilk in it and I made yams for the first time the other night. For the breastmilk I made sure to measure the width of my bottles however I didnt think about how much room in general the cube would take up in the bottle. That being said you cant fit more than 2 oz in a 4 oz bottle and 3 oz in a 6 oz bottle at a time to defrost. But thats ok. Im really looking forward to making different foods for my little guy now that we are starting to enter the wonderful world of solids! Each cube filled to the top looks like it fits approximately 1.5 oz. There is a fill line of 1oz in each cube to let you know exactly where to fill to if you want to keep it 1 oz. The cool thing is you can pop out only one cube at a time as needed. What I noticed so far, is that the two cubes in the center are not as well sealed as the cubes on the side so there is a bit of freezer burn possibility there. I would not leave food in this for days and remove one at a time as needed because of that reason. I would dump all of the cubes in a ziplock freezer bag and pick them out from there as needed. Actually getting the cubes out was pretty straight forward. It was easier to run some warm water on the bottoms then they slip out. I think that if you were to purchase the WeeSprout reusable squeeze packs this purchase would be awesome. I plan I purchasing them once our little man gets to that point.
