> 3 dayAfter you setup your OS, software types, etc., download DashboardSetup from Western Digital website. This will tell you health, storage, temperature, and how many times you can download/add/remove software to the drive. Ive been constantly adding/removing games, digital Marvel/DC Comics since 2021, and still at 98 percent Add/Remove ability. Also, if youre purpose for this drive is digital creations or intense gaming, get a heatsink.

> 3 dayWithout all the technical jargon I could waffle on about, all I will say is, if you have an empty NVME slot in your laptop fit one of these. Lightening fast. Far quicker than the SSD it replaced. Laptop boots in a few seconds. These drives are so affordable and well worth the expense. Mechanical HDDs now belong on the Ark!

> 3 dayIt seems the WD budget line (Blue and Green) of NVMe drives is going with a single huge memory chip and a smaller controller placed a fair distance away. The uneven surface profile on the top makes it difficult to place a heatsink on top, unless you cut a thermal pad to fit. It doesnt sit flush with the adapter cards surface either, so another thermal pad is required to make proper contact - particularly if your adapter has cooling traces on the surface that makes contact with the drive (check out the Glotrends adapter sold here that I reviewed separately.

> 3 dayUpgraded my 256GB to 1TB on my XPS-15. Worked like a charm. Hard part was copying my windows install to the new drive. Used an external adapter to put the drive into for copying. Used AOMEI to make the copy. FYI takes the paid version to make the copy. FYI if you install the free version, then go to uninstall it, it will offer about a 50% discount on the paid version. That worked as about 10/5/2021. Your mileage may vary.
