I have purchased the WD SN550 in every size 250GB to 2 TB. I use them in m.2 enclosures as external drives to store data (videos, documents, etc.). I also do a little video editing. I am not a professional nor an expert on computers. Speed varies depending on the enclosure but they are sufficient for my objective. They are reliable. They do get warm when transferring a huge amount of data however I make an effort to purchase enclosures that are efficient. I have used other brands (Adata) of SSD in the past; they were less expensive but not as reliable. I do not use it for gaming.

With NVME SSDs nowadays the baseline performance is so good that its price to performance is so much better than if you go top performance you will pay so much more that its not really necessary for most builds.

Installed this in my 2015 Macbook Air and works as expected. Speed is good! No issues!
