My wifes Galaxy was in a soft case that fell off her nightstand, hit a corner & broke the glass. I have replaced a few screen on phones and an earlier version of this tables, so this is not totally foreign to me. This kit comes with lots of tools, the Digitizer screen and 0 included instructions other then to search YouTube for a video on how to do it. I did end using a box cutter to start the separation of the plastic case from the frame as I could not get it to release with the include guitar pick or other included tools. Once I finally got it started I was able to run the rest of the way around with the pick & metal tool to get the case off. Due to the falling & breaking, the screen was easy to release from the adhesive. I did disconnect the battery cable on the backside before I released the screen cable for safety of the device. After removing the screen & then feeding the new cable through the frame & connecting it back, I made sure there was no dust on the actual screen surface. Getting the protective film off was a little difficult to start but easy to remove once I got it going. CAREFULLY aligning the Digitizer screen and laying it down in place, you press around the edges to make sure it adheres. I then reconnected the battery cable, snapped on the back cover, really cleaned the new screen well & applied a new screen protector & better case! I think the only tool I used was the tweezers to help thread the cable through the hole in the case. (did use the thinner guitar pick & metal pry tool a little) I am glad to get all of the tiny screwdrivers as I can use them sometime when working on other electronics.
