Some Angry Chick on the Beltway
05-06-2025Im a rubber duck collector, I know ducks. And this, my friends, is one fine duck. Im really impressed by the details, especially for a 5 buck duck! Theres just so much going on with this little guy. The coloring is exceptionally zombie-like (its like a sickly blue-green color), and they really nailed the blood drips. The only part I dont like is the brains, theyre a bit too purple but its whatever. You can see in my pic theres a bit they missed on the tongue that I might hit with some acrylic paint but considering the texture of this thing I think they did a killer (heh) job on paint. Solidly made. Overall just a great, great duck. I also bought the unicorn one but havent gotten that one yet. I might have to snap up the rest of the collection if the zombie is any indication of the quality of these ducks.

> 3 dayMy granddaughter loves rubber ducks. Got this as I though it was so cute. This has become her favorite over all her rubber duck type products. It’s great quality and made really well.

> 3 dayNot impressed with this peacock duck. When its sitting flat, you can hardly see the feathers. If they were bent back a little more, it would be better but since theyre glued in, this is just how it looks. Peacocks are proud creatures that love to show off their feathers, this one is just an ugly duckling trying to be a pretty peacock and failing at it. Should have saved my money...

> 3 dayThe pirate duck was inflated when it arrived - I live at 5600 ft (1700 m) elevation, and products sealed at lower elevations often arrive here looking like balloons, and this duck was such. It does show that the duck is air-tight though. I poked a tiny hole in it and squeezed out some of the air and then sealed the hole with epoxy; this left the bottom of the duck slightly concave. But just letting out some of the air did not cause the duck to right itself in the water, and it just kept flopping over on its side, so I began attaching weights to the bottom. After attaching a mass of 40 grams (1.4 oz), it began to float a little more upright, however, all the added weight caused more of the duck to be submerged; if any more is added, the pirate will probably slip beneath the waves for good. As a collectable it looks good, but as a floating toy, not so much.

> 3 dayMy 2 year old is obsessed. The craftsmanship is wonderful and the colors are vibrant and beautiful. It’s definitely morbid (eyeball hanging out/brain exposed, etc.) but that’s why we like it so much!
