I gave this rattle as a gift in a baby shower and they held it from gift opening to waving good by... Unconciously rattling and twirling it the entire time. Its very smooth solid wood but I cant vouch for actual teething because my niece wont be born until July and not start teething till after that.... obviously. I would worry about the dogs getting a hold of it as sticks are sticks. But its adorable and can entertain 30 yr olds in a deep instinctal way.

Its a well made rattle but the ball on both ends is big and doesnt fit a baby/toddler mouth rendering it ineffective as a teething toy.

My 5 month old son loves his rattle. It is so easy to hold and shake. He likes to chew on the ball on the end, but he cant fit the entire thing into his mouth, which Im happy about. I love the simple and clean design. My only complaint is that the wood is a little rough. I plan to sand it down a little more and finish with some beeswax to smooth it out

Disappointed. Balls are way to big for my daughter to even attempt to chew on. She liked it for five minutes until she discover she physically cannot chew on it and now has zero interest in it. Waste of money
