Its great its not fot cutting down trees its for carve and shape its great

The chainsaw blade did not actually cut wood when mounted on my Dewalt grinder. It made a groove and burned the wood from friction instead of a cutting action. I even put on the spare chain blade provided in the kit and had the same result.

MY 24 YEAR OLD GRANDSON TIRIED IT WHEN I CAME IN AND SAID IT WORKS GREAT, BUT HARD TO CONTROLL WITHOUT AN EXTRA HANDLE ON THE SIDGRANDER TO HELP STABLIZE IT. MY SUGGESTION AS THIS CAN BE A DANGEROUS TOOL, DO NOT, I REPEAT USE IT WITHOUT AN EXTRA HAND GRIP ON THE SIDEGRINDER. BE CAREFUL, BUT IT DOES A GREAT JOB OF REMOVING WOOD.

I was immediately blown away by the quality of this item. For the price, I was expecting something flimsy that I might use once or twice. But its solid, easy to use, and works well. Highly recommended!

Very sharp, better than I expected.

Not what carvers use!! Why do carvers use “dime-tip”, and “quarter-tipped” chainsaws when carving? In the category of “most dangerous tool” Angle Grinders are probably only second to ladders. Adding chains, which can kick because of geometry or sharpening error, is simply not good idea on which to follow through. (I’m not saying it’s a bad idea… I’m saying that after you ask yourself “maybe a chainsaw chain on an angle grinder is what I need?” the answer should be a resounding “THERE ARE WAY BETTER OPTIONS!” [Check out sanding/shaping disks if you want to use a grinder…] How about a responsible group effort to end the sale of angle-grinder chainsaw attachments! (Write anew, add, or cut-and-paste…)

It was installed as soon as I received it. It was very safe to wear gloves. The material was very strong. The chain was just installed and turned smoothly. There was no jam. There was a box to store it. It was easy to find next time. I was very satisfied.

I have 5 Bald Cypress trees in my lawn and bought this to cut down the cypress knees. This blade goes through them like butter and allows me to cut them down to the soil level and below, allowing the grass to cover them.

The shaping disk works pretty nicely, but since it didnt come with a nut small enough to fit in the disk I have to use a regular nut and a washer. It is tricky to center so theres just a bit of distracting vibration in use. It should come with a nut. I can get some use out of it so Ill keep it, but this is an oversight that should be fixed, or at least have nuts available separately.
