World of Eric Carle, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Apple Play Set and Shape Sorter Developmental Toy

My granddaughter was given this gift for Easter and she has many Eric Carle books, so this Apple Playset really made her smile! The pieces are perfect, fun and safe.

This has got to be the most amazing product infant toy I’ve ever had! I have used it with my great grandson who is now nine months old this is the second one that he has to take with him in the car on trips because he loves it so much! Quality is great colors are vibrant

I really like Eric Carle books, so when I saw this I was excited to show my son the book and toy. It is very cute but he just doesnt play with it. The top of the apple flops all the way back- I can see once this toy is stored for baby #2 it will not make it back to its original shape. The fruit inside are cute, but lame. For the price I thought the fruit should have been bigger and better quality. All the pieces inside can fit through the inside of a toilet paper roll- so be aware if small children are around, they are smaller than you think at first glance.

I gave this to accompany Very Hungry Caterpillar for part of a shower gift. Perfect complement to the book!

I was disappointed with both the quality and the size. Way overpriced imo.

Love the product ..

My daughter loves this toy. Shes 8 months and shes already been using it for 3-4 months now. Its great for babies that are still rolling around on the floor, because the pieces are soft so it doesnt hurt if they roll onto them. The fruits each have a different filling like a rattle, crinkle, bell, etc. and have a soft stem that tiny hands can grab; my baby even carries it in her mouth like shes a puppy. I like to read her the board book, but shes much more into the toy than the book at this stage.

Im meh on this one, but freely admit its probably a situational thing. We like Eric Carle, we like Hungry Caterpillar stuff. I bought this for my 5 month old. The caterpillar does crunch, but... not enough. I know, that sounds nitpicky, but he doesnt have the motor skills to crunch it very well. Other crunchy toys are easier for him to get that satisfying sound out of, so he prefers those. I like the reviewers recommendation to leave the fruits strung together (under supervision of course). Because: hes too young to appreciate them at the moment, so at least theyre not scattered everywhere. The apple carrying case/fishbowl is not interesting ...yet. Hes pretty young for it. Im hoping the act of putting things in/out of it will become fun in a few months. Right now, its looking a bit sadly crushed. So, I have some hopes for the future, and want to re-rate it later. Right now, at this age, and at this development... iffy.
