X6672 Lennox Healthy Climate 16x25x5 Merv 16 Filter

Theres a generic version, but I went for the brand name. Would be interested to know if the generic works as well as the branded one. Was afraid to risk it.

I had a new furnace installed almost two years ago. When planning the installation I researched the best filtration system for asthmatics, which turned out to be HC-16 (Carbon). So when the furnace was installed, I had the installers switch their not so good filtration box for the Lennox HC-16C. Then I set the furnace fan to recirculate air 30 mins/hr 24/7 as Id done before. The result was that the air is much cleaner and you can see it right off by the low weekly accumulation of dust around the house. Also it cuts down nasty odors - the carbon does that. Its noticeable. The filters are built to last a year under normal use and mine lasted that long. However, Id also recommend having your ducts cleaned too. 9/16 update Somehow this review didn’t get posted 9 months ago. Anyways we’ve heard 11 days of unhealthy this hazardous air since the massive forest fires started. I’ve had the furnace fan running to keep the house air constantly filtered. No orders, no asthma issues. My friends are all having issues and they don’t have respiratory issues! The HC is made for this disaster specified for smoke filtering (also for general surgery suites btw!) Gotta give this product SIX stars! Note to Amazon: One of the star ratings for this item is Presentation. This absolutely does apply to this item whatsoever. In no way would presentation apply to the effectiveness of an internally installed air filter? Id replace this erroneous factor with Effectiveness or Longevity vs advertised
