Xprite Grill Mesh Insert American Flag Matte Aluminum Alloy Mesh Grille Grid Compatible with 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK JKU

This is one of those little things that just add a nice touch to your Jeep. Im all about the little things and I have no idea why I didnt do this sooner. My 2013 Jk was getting kinda janky and showing some age. I removed the grill and the crossbar behind the grill at the bottom in front of the radiator was rusting and it was just looking ugly through the factory grill openings. I took some rattlecan rust converter and sprayed that bar and that cleaned it up but it wasnt enough, so I dropped this thing in, it fit great was simple to throw in there and so far Im happy with how it cleaned up the grill and makes it look real nice on the front now. I really dont think itll hinder engine performance at all but we shall see.

I really like the look however after install my temp guage was going past the halfway mark and getting upwards of 230, I removed it same day and back to running at 203-210 and needle back in the middle. I suspect the holes are to small and restrict air flow. No issues with over heating prior to this install

Looks great. We will see how well it holds up but it seems like a decent guage metal. Paintjob seems ok. Time will tell how it well it resists corrosion and wear. I was honestly impressed by how well it was packaged to avoid any bending. It came in a bubble wrap sleeve inside of three boxes. Installation took less than 5 minutes. I took the top clips off, and without removing the grill, dropped the insert in and bent the grill back slightly to have the top part of the insert fit in the groove. Popped the clips back in and done. Now I have a nicer looking grill. I looked at other options that looked better with larger perforations but they were more expensive and required taking the grill off, cleaning it, gluing mounts, and zip tieing the insert. There are small gaps that a zip tied product would probably hide but I can live with it. Im pleased with how this looks considering I was done installing in about the same time it took me to open the package.

This looks great on my Jeep. Install was easy. Only thing I wish I would have done was apply a clear coat. The first bug that hit it actually removed the paint when I went to clean it off. A good clear coat would have protected it. It should come with this protection from the manufacturer knowing it would be a bug killer. Anyways, 4 stars for that. I’ll have to remove it to touch it up after a while.. then I’ll clear coat it.

After my experience with the Xprite LED front turn signals and marker lights, I was hesitant to pull the trigger on another Xprite product, but I have to admit that it works like a charm. Easy to install in my 2012 JK Sahara grill, and the cutout works great for access to my new hood lock. I will update this review if the product goes south, but so far so good.

Received as a Father’s Day gift. It fit perfect on 2010 jku.

So I was skeptical due to others saying it was poorly made or didn’t fit right. I had ZERO problems and it’s a good material too. It literally fits right behind your grille, if you can’t figure this out.... god bless you. Now my radiator is protected AND my intercom speaker is hidden :)
