> 3 dayThe 300w extreme heater is solidly constructed and has a very substantial cord (glad I didnt need an extension cord to reach an outlet). This is a perfect size for my Mastercraft Prostar 190. Winterization can cost several hundreds of dollars and boat storage fees also add up over time. I calculate that this heater will pay for itself in the first year and allow me to keep my boat on the water throughout our mild Southern winters. I wanted this heater to extend my season for the unseasonably warm fall days and allow me to take cruises in the early spring as well. Now I dont have to worry about the block cracking during a freeze because I know that this heater will keep everything warm. Very glad I purchased this product. My only regret is that I didnt order one sooner. Happy boating.

> 3 dayThis product has high reviews for a number of reasons. First, our boat, 25 ft. Sea Ray is docked during the winter in our boat house in North Texas. We do enjoy using our boat during nice winter weather and prefer not to winterize our boat. This product is placed in the engine compartment to keep the cooling water in the engine from freezing. The heater turns on automatically when the temperature is below 40 deg F and maintains the compartment temperature high enough to prevent engine and bilge compartment. The heater is safe to use in a closed compartment where fuel vapors may be present. We do add fuel stabilizer in the winter and trim down our out drive to drain the water from the lower unit to prevent freeze damage. Very satisfied with the product which pays for itself in a year compared to on dock boat winterization services. The heater must have a continuous 110 V electrical supply to function. Very satisfied with this high quality marine grade heater.

> 3 dayI’m using the product as intended, to heat an engine compartment. My boat is 26’ and the compartment is roughly 8 x 8 x 3. The heater is well built. But my boat is not in the water and I have it at home where the hull is not insulated by the water it would sit in. Thus the heater just can’t keep up with the cold Temperatures. I had to supplement it with another heater, and even then it was on a LOT, IT sucked on the power bill. It probably would be fine for a smaller compartment like a ski boat. Or a boat in the water. UPDATE Over the winter of 2021-22 I kept the boat in the water. As I thought, the heater kept up with the cold just fine with the insulation of the water around the hull. And the electric bill was minimal.

> 3 dayI have 4 SOK 206 amp batteries in a bank that I need to keep up over the winter. I had to bring them inside due to the extreme cold and put them on a charger to maintain them. The charger brought them back to the storage voltage and they are doing fine. Then I installed this heater in the battery/ electrical compartment of my RV which is only 120 square feet, and reinstalled the batteries. The heater is running on one of my Renogy inverters. Now the space has stayed 40+ degrees and the batteries haven’t had any issues. Cold weather and batteries are mortal enemies but this little guy came in and saved the day.

> 3 dayI have mounted it on the underside of the engine space hatch cover. I tested it as the instructions say by putting it in my freezer for an hour, then taking it out and plugging it in. It turned on as it should then after a warming up period turned off. It ran pretty quietly with a gentle heated air flow in a way I don’t think will blow a breaker. Be sure to close off any vents or other ways outside air can get in and warm air out.

Greater than one weekUsed this to help keep boat heated during the winter. Decided not to take off slip this year as friends told us to try this. Husband said it worked.
