So far the heater is working properly. Very sturdy and easy to handle. The only downside I have experienced with this is the screws that came with the product were not very reliable. The heads broke off 3 out of the 4 that came with the unit, even with a pilot hole drilled.

The heater I received does not work. Temperatures will be dropping below freezing this week and Im out $400 and no way to safely heat my engines.

They say the best boat youll ever have is the one your friend owns....I have found this to be true :) I have had friends with cruisers, speed boats, and wake boats (and have owned one for a short while), I have purchased Xtreme Heaters for all of them as a way to say THANKS for sharing your boats with my family and occasionally contribute gas as well ;) My friends boats are a mix of dry dock, trailered, on a lift, or in the water and none have had issues with these heaters installed.....and we do get down to freezing and below in the winter here in GA. One of my friends says he sleeps better not worrying about his boat any more. Xtreme is easy to contact if installation questions come up, always helpful with no condescending attitude. Kudos Xtreme!

Just got around to putting my boat back into the water and have absolutely no problems. The heater obviously did its job in preventing freeze damage during the final couple of cold spells in early spring. Will use it again in the late fall when the weather turns cold again. Although I will continue to winterize my boat during the winter, (in case of power failure during a snow/ice storm) this is a great way to extend your boating season.

I have 4 SOK 206 amp batteries in a bank that I need to keep up over the winter. I had to bring them inside due to the extreme cold and put them on a charger to maintain them. The charger brought them back to the storage voltage and they are doing fine. Then I installed this heater in the battery/ electrical compartment of my RV which is only 120 square feet, and reinstalled the batteries. The heater is running on one of my Renogy inverters. Now the space has stayed 40+ degrees and the batteries haven’t had any issues. Cold weather and batteries are mortal enemies but this little guy came in and saved the day.

I have 2 in my engine room. One units fan starts and runs as long as it is plugged in. Had to drill out rivets to disassemble. Moved fan circuit to load side of thermostat. Now fan cycles with heating elements. Not impressed with pop rivets, or fan running continuously. Bought 750 watt Twin hornet for my other boat. Works as it should.

This is the second Xtreme heater Ive bought. Great engine room heater, still using the first one and after six years, havent had any issues. Would recommend if you need a dependable engine heater.

Been riding the danger wagon for a couple seasons with a traditional ceramic heater to keep the engine room ice free during our Alaskan winters (southeast Alaska) and finally decided to hit up Safetown,USA and spring for one of these. Long cord (20’) is super helpful to make it to a dedicated outlet and leave the surge protectors and y splitters for the birds and the bees. Didn’t seem to push a lot of air at first so I wasn’t sure what was up but after a couple days I saw the temp rise on up during a big freeze we just had. We monitor our boat remotely- 40’ Tri-cabin trawler- and had readings of 8° F outside and engine room read out at 32° F so I’m super excited to say this one gets full support from us! No frozen pipes here! Also: we get power outages from time to time in our remote Alaskan town and have made plenty of trips back to the boat to reset the older heater we ditched but this one just turns back on when power comes back. Bingo big time baby!

Product has worked as expected. It has kept the engine area between 42-55 degrees with outside temps in the 20s Update 2nd winter season. Temps got to 8 degrees outside. Engine area of the boat never dropped below 40° Great little heater.
