Yale EF-DC Easy Fit Alarm Door/Window Contact, White, DIY Friendly, Accessory for SR & EF Alarms, Suitable for Main Access Points

Have to buy a new one of these pretty much every time I have to replace the batteries, the contacts are so fragile. Thinking of changing the whole alarm system now as this one is not very good value for money anymore!

Worked great for around a year and then kept setting the alarm off in the middle of the night despite the door being closed. During this time the door was showing as being opened when it was in fact closed; obviously an issue with the contact itself. Yale online support were slow and useless - its been over a week and i still havent heard back from them. Ive attempted to replace the battery but the design of the battery holder makes adding/removing a battery problomatic and the new battery simply doesnt fit in the device and the device no longer works.
