YETI Rambler Gallon Jug, Vacuum Insulated, Stainless Steel with MagCap

Came without a cap on it, disappointing but it doesn’t take away from the yeti itself, just poor shipping.

What caused me to give this 4 stars instead of 5? In order to prevent it from leaking, I have to CRANK the lid down so hard that it takes everything my wife and I combined have in us to unscrew it to clean and refill it, one holding it and the other unscrewing it. And both of us are large strong people. If the lid is just normally tight, it leaks around the rim of the lid like a sieve. And, no, its not cross-threaded, it screws on smoothly and easily. Pros: Everything else. If it werent for the need to use superhuman strength to close and open the thing, Id want to give it 6 stars. Sturdy bottle, sturdy handle, magnetic holder for pour spout lid works great, this thing is a tank.

Hard to drink out of and not get wet , lid leaks not the quality of the one I bought in 2017.

Bought 13 of these for office gifts. Everybody loves this. Keeps ice all day on the jobsites. One came without a lid but all I need to do is call for a cap. Yeti is the BEST!

I’m a excavator operator and I’d just buy the gallons at 7/11. But by 11 the waters already warm and nobody likes drinking warm water when you’re working hard. Probably best purchase I’ve done in a while. Now I’m drinking about 2 gallons a day, get lots of compliments as well. And I’m sure you can use it for self defense lol. I love it!

I bought this jug in May and used it all through the summer while I worked as a lifeguard on the beach. Our 7-hour-straight shifts mean a gallon of water, sometimes more, is necessary. However, I was tired of the cheap plastic jugs that leak all over my face when I try to drink directly from them. So I splurged and spent a day and a halfs pay on this jug. Pros of the Yeti jug: It never leaks. It holds ice all day in direct sunlight and 90-degree-plus temperatures. The magnetic cap is neat. The nozzle is good to chug from. Its stainless steel so it never rusts, despite having been dropped in the ocean and the sand. Cons: Filled with water, it weighs nearly 15 pounds- much heavier than the cheap plastic jugs. On the days when I had to walk to my stand carrying the jug in my hand it was a killer. I would routinely do bicep curls with it as a joke. The jug gets scratched very easily. It also got dented in the top edge early on, and although it was only cosmetic, plastic jugs dont get dented. Its EXPENSIVE. Overall, Im satisfied with my purchase. If the huge price tag isnt too off-putting, Id recommend it.

The reviews for this product are absurd. Does not leak at all unless you dont close it right which is a plain truism. Ive seen reviews about people saying it is really hard to open the jug, but another truism, if you close it really tight it will always be really hard to open back up just like anything else. You have to close it just right and it doesnt leak and it opens easily. There are two weak point where you are supposed to press on to open the jug. That will be by pressing both of your thumbs on the side of the handle and using the rest of your fingers to open the bottle really simple. If have been looking to buy a one gallon jug for a while that contains your water cold, i truly recommend this one for your liking. I use this jug every day and i do clean it everyday and it is quick and simple. Dont be afraid of spending 140 bucks if you have the money it is really worth it.

Keeps my water ice cold all day long but the lid can be very hard to get off.

Loved it till i needed customer support! They make it so difficult to do anything except give them your money. If you need parts forget it. I was promissed a cap for my 1 gallon jug! It never came i contacted them and just gave up!
